So, I havent been keeping up on the projects much but as summer is approaching I will have more to show.**This is the first of 2 Festiva projects currently being built.**

The B3 (1.3L) baby engine is being replaced with a Mazda BP (1.8L) engine and power will go through the Mazda G5MR 5 speed transmission.**This particular car will be set up in semi-race trim but will still be streetable.**All rear glass is to be replaced with lexan, the rear hatch lightened, stripped and caged.**Fuel Injection will be controlled by the EMS Stinger ECU and will incorporate 550cc injectors w/ custom rail, high flow pump and regulator.
The car will also be fitted with a T3/T4 57 trim turbo on a custom manifold.**Air will pass through a 9x2x21 in air-air intercooler and then plumbed into a custom intake manifold.**

For now, the cylinder head and block will be stock, but there is a spare block on the engine stand waiting for pistons.**Here are some pictures.

I've read before that KIA produced those cars for Ford. Weird.

Yep, they even have stickers that say "made by KIA motors for Ford Motor Company" or something like that.

The KIA Sephia came with a version of the Mazda engines we are using...we could use KIA valve covers....coooooooool lol

you should convert to rear drive and do a s2000 drive train, know that would roll quite nice Reid

Actually, there is a guy on a Festiva forum (yes, they exist) with a rear drive conversion with an SR20DET...im not sure if its running yet, but it looks cool as hell.

The other big swap is the "SHOGUN", Jay Leno has one...basically its a rear engine rear drive Festiva powered by the Ford Taurus SHO V8. Pretty sick.
