Dude take the heads, it is worth it, They are not that easy to find, well it wan't for me. I believe these heads were on the cobras and 96 and later 5.0 explorers. :) I had looked for some when I had my mustang, never found a good deal on any. There is a difference in heads some require the headers from a cobra I believe, maybe eric can tell you which head he has. :)

explaination of gt40 heads from a ford explorer. GT40P Iron heads offer a significant increase in HP compared to stock castings. GT40P heads are a revised designed of the Cobra GT40 iron heads, with better swirl thanks to a new chamber design and a revised plug location for improved combustion. This heads outperform the GT40 iron heads.

the GT40p came on the 97 and newer Ford Explorer/Mountaineer 5.0L
These are satraight up GT40 heads, not GT40P.. But they are off of a 93 Cobra they were rebuilt not to long ago and were great heads no smoke when removed, i just feel like upgrading to AFR thats all.
