I just got my flyer for the year events at Boise......This year they have a street machine shootout on June 30th, a saturday. They have a quick 8 heads up race!!! If Marty can get his new set up dialed in he would be a great contender, Greg could do some damage down there and if Brian gets the truck done he would be a threat as well. Some good old heads up action!! The flyer says..."run what you brung as long as you brought a ton. they give out jackets to the champions and everyone who qualifies gets a free t shirt.

I am going down on May 10-13 for the div6 season opener and it is the ignitor as well so it is an awsome race to hit, tons of cars!!! We will be racing Top Dragster, and super pro at this one.

Then in august the Nightfire nationals...lots of Pro Mods, very cool race as well.

And the Halloween classic as always in october.

Sure would be cool to add the street machine race to the events at boise this year. If any of you guys want to go I will get more info for you at the ignitor and would go with anyone to help out. Anyway just a heads up!!!

Travis.

This is going to be fun.

Yeah already planning on the NW nats... I just hope its under 95 degrees this time. I'd really like to hit that Haloween race up this year down in Boise. Its where I bought my car, it only seems right that I road trip back.

Travis. What are the rules for the Street car shootout in Boise? Will it be broken down to a true street class and a outlaw type class? If I am going to be blown alky on drag slicks will I be able to get in? Are the rules posted on their site?

I think you have to run a form of a dot legal tire like an et street or a hoosier quick time pro, all lights working, wipers(i think), some form of mufflers(or something that looks like mufflers). The rules are not a strict like a psca event or something. A guy by the name of ken used to show up in his 66 nova and run in the 7.30 range with his 632 on 2 stages with et streets and mufflers and what not.

They just try to make it fun for everyone who shows up to race, like they always do!!! I will be at the track in may so maybe I could get a rule sheet and some pre entries for anyone who plans to attend the event.

Just give them a call, I am sure they will be more than happy to work with you.

Their site is www.firebirdonline.com and their number is 208-938-8986

They also list a tech number, might help out. His name is Andy Coleman and the number is 208-468-0936 ( call eves.)
