I am looking at getting my windows tinted this spring or summer. However, on my convertible top, I have a plastic window instead of glass. Does anyone know how successful applying tint to plastic would be? Thanks!

Call my buddy Dan at Snows, he will treat you right, just tell him i sent you. They have done all my windows on 4 of my cars and the tint is a nice job and has not fallen off yet, lol.

When your top folds down dosent the window fold with it?? If so I am not sure if you can or want to tint that.

No, I don't believe the window folds with it Travis.

If I don't tint the back window I'm afraid it will look stupid when the top is up.

Thanks Brian...I'm actually thinking about doing it myself (I know someone else that knows how to do it) that way it's cheaper...BUT if your buddy can do it at an affordable price I just may go there and save any headaches. Thanks!

NO NO NO! Not that im saying your friend is one of them but nearly all the people at Snows are a bunch of knuckle heads!

Instead, I recommend Spokane Sunscreen - they have two offices in Spokane that I know of (Division and on Sprauge in the valley) and here is why:

They specialize in window tinting and have been doing it for a long time.
They offer a lifetime warranty against fading, cracking, other defects, etc.
One year no questions asked warranty.
Very affordable - they did my Talon for $160 + $15 to add a tinted bar across the top of my windshield.
They also offer custom graphics that can be embedded in your tint for a nominal cost.

Do some research about window tints....ask around...and remember, you get what you pay for. Whatever you do, just make sure it is metalized film, not the plastic dyed stuff that will turn purple within 3 years.

Anyhow...just my .002 dollars :-)

I did my truck rear windows, no bubble but damn the scratches are annoying. Have someone else do it with the good film. lol

Spokane Sunscreen? lol They were going to charge me almost $200 for my Mustang AND the guy couldn't even spell Mustang correctly lol**Not only that but they barely tint your windows...the "law's" rules as to how much you can tint are not even worth $100 to get it tinted as light as they require.

Had our 94 eclipse tinted, forgot shop name but it was quality and it was as dark as I wanted. If cops got problem with it get doctors prescription that you're sensitive to sunlight.

LOL love it! Now that plans have changed....I'll be just getting them done in Arizona.....I believe their laws are a little better than here with how much darkness you can have...

Accent Window in town would do it for a good price however dark you want. Darren is his name. That way you don't have to mess with it in AZ and if you have a problem it can be fixed locally. spokane sunscreen is a joke and I'm sorry, Snows is even worse. Maybe the tint guy is ok, but the rest can eat $%^&.

LOL But, how much does he charge? Problem is with people who do it locally and do it as dark as you want...you don't get a receipt so that they don't get in trouble. SO, if I have a problem and no receipt....I'm screwed....

What does the law state in Idaho? Like, what is the difference with Idaho and Washington?

Legal to get 20 in Idaho, which is what WA should be too but this state sucks. Its the next step darker than 35 which is what you get locally. Any place in Idaho will do it, no questions asked and it will be warrantied.
