Good to see you on here man. Too bad I wasn't able to stick around for all the fun last year in Boise. Maybe this year will be a little better and I can drink a beer or two with everybody. Later...

Their Fox Hunt is the weekend before that. I'm considering taking the car down for the Fox Hunt, leave it with a friend and come back for the street shoot out. Was also contemplating going to their opening day (April 14).

Ken: The new car is basically a big wheelbarrow right now. That is, until I get the struts. Body is on the chassis. Got all the 4-link set up for it. Rear end is all narrowed. Won't take too much until it's a roller and then we get to figure out how to stuff that Pontiac motor in there...

Actually we decided to put dually fenders on the Goat for more tire :P

Phil, steer clear of Brian. He's got thing about turning a running car into a wheelbarrow....lol

Marty, I think I found some trim for the wheelwells. Let me know when the skins show up. That damn car of mine looks FUGLY right now;)

Cool. If you can find some old wheelwell pieces, i know i can TIG em up to look like GM made it that way for the wheelwell stretch. Jeez, i never thought of DUALLY fenders. Could'a saved so much work! You could have run dually slicks!

Ya know, I have yet to see a rule book the limits the NUMBER of slicks used. It only limits the width of the tire.

Well we decided not to run dually slicks on it so i started fitting the quarters today. It looks pretty cool once i stretched the wheelwells 1 3/4 inch to clear the big tires. Once they are all fitted, i get the fun job of fitting the wheeltubs in before i can actually weld on the panels! PITA!

Marty,

How did you get away with only stretching one side? I have done a few and always had to do front and back. Does the new set up sit forward of where it used to go? Sure is nice to only have to strech one side. Looks good as always.

Travis.

Im not sure why it only needed one side. The wheelbase was plotted off of the old suspension and the original wheelwells were cut a little bit so the original reference was not real good. I fully expected to cut both sides and was surprised to find only the front needed it. It could be the way the factory quarters are shaped that let it work out so good too. Shit, who knows cuz i just make up a game plan as i go anyways! LOL

Lookin pretty cool Marty!

Maybe you should have just used a sawzall to cut the fenders...like I think they did originally :)
