Apex'i AFC

Im curious about opinions on the knob style Apex'i AFC, i just bought one for the gsx along with a datalogger cable for my laptop, its only got a 3" exhaust and MBC on it for now but i figure i might as well have a way to tune it for when i move on to bigger an better things.. any tips or links for installing and tuning a knob style? i only found links for the digital s-afc.. thanks.

yeah i looked there Eric, but they dont have a 1g install writeup.. its only for the 2g unless you have a digital..

Dude, i tuned my 90 tsi to a 12.80 with very few mods on the stock turbo. i highly recomend a wideband and a datalogger. You always tune for no knock on the 1g's. Like i said, using an apexi safcII i tuned my car to be the fastest pump gas stock turbo dsm in the u.s. It can be long drawn out process but in the end its well worth it. i had about 20 hours total tuning and countless tanks of gas. And wiring it up is very easy.

well i sent you a pm, but basically i only had enough for some matching rims and tires (5zigen fn01rc's) a 3" turbo-back exhaust, walbro 255 fuel pump, origional afc, and some random stuff i needed like a driver side door handle, whats the difference in abilities between the original knob style afc and the safc II?

There is an original 5-knob style, a 6-buttom style "afc-I", and a 1-knob style "afc-II" - the differences are that the latter 2 can graph the sensor outputs, the afc-ii can read knock, and the ammount of RPM points they can modify, among other little changes.

well i have the origional 5 knob.. it probably wont be as great as the latter but you get what you pay for i guess

well there aint much info on what the bottom of the ocean looks like so thats not too much info there.. haha
