Well, most of you have seen this truck already, but i just finished the new engine install (Cassel Built 468BBC), has a D1SC charger, making a wooping 7 psi, non intercooled blow through 850 annualar Mighty Demon, on pump gas, 8.0 compression with a mild hydralic cam, single plain intake, no porting at all, H-beam rods, and fordged pistons. smaller pulley on order, hoping for 12-14 psi on pump gas

Made 510hp and 466tq @ the tires

That truck is sooo purdy. A nice air/water intercooler looks like it would fit quite nicely under there!

after the Autoboat, there is plans of installing a air to air in front of the grill. Just running out of time.

Why don't more people go air/water? The weight is about the same. The cost is about the same. The effort to install it is about the same. The net results are way better. The bling factor isn't quite as high though. *shrug*

You answered your own question there buddy. Until they start making front mounted carbon fiber air/waters they are just not going to be as popular. Maybe instead of putting that wire mesh up front we could invent a faux intercooler looking mesh up front so people could look cool and have an air/water :-)

Haha... I thought they already did that.

itried talking him into it, but the extra resivoir and pump, makes tomuch for a crowded engine bay, or atleast more then he would like.

If he did a small radiator in front, the resevoir (pint size) and pump could be hid fairly easily. Do a couple braided lines and it would look way nicer than a ton of extra 3+" piping. Just my opinion though.

Whatever makes him happy is what he should do I suppose.

Edit: If he wanted to be really trick and unique:
Get a crank trigger.
Get a belt drive distributor
Build a custom pump that drives off the stock distributor location that incorporates the resevoir.

Or if he wanted to be even cooler he could just mount a big swamp cooler on the front of his truck that would pull the car like and airplane while simultaneously spraying misted water and air into the intercooler for M4d Int3rc00ling. :-)

On a more serious note, I really dig the truck.

Well, got the 12psi pulley today, with 12 psi @ 6000rpm and hasing the tires al the way through the pull it still put down 580hp and 525tq @ the tires. Borrowing some slicks for tomorrow too finish tuning and see if it will pull over 600. More #'s to come.

You know you are making serious power when you can't hook up on the dyno lol... awsome.

Borrowed Noeh's DOTs, more pulls in the morning, i think it will crest 600hp easy if it will stay glowed to the dyno. Shouldnt be a problem with real tires.lol

LOL Somehow I just got this visual of Orville with his home made propane torch and garden sprayer full of VHT goin to town on those rollers for more traction.

Is the propane torch to make them "glow'??

well the tires stuck it better on the dyno but the convertor is slipping like crazy, @ 6400 it is turning a shitty 110 mph, still made 590hp but driving through the convertor like MAD!

I'm pretty sure slipping is better than not working at all :-)

it is not the tranny, it is the poor little Hueghs gm35 convertor that is only rated for 450 hp.new one on the way. took it for a drive last night on the street tires and they have a snowballs chance in hell. even at a 65 to 70 mph roll, in 3rd gear. the thing is all kinds of crazy.

It reminds me of my truck with the old 427 and the 250 shot, pritty wicked.

being able to break the tires loose passing someone on the freeway = cool in my book :-)

Well FINALLY got Fuller to the track tonight, but without slicks, we ran on his 20's and suprisingly did OK, went 11.81 @ 118 mph. with a 2.08 60 ft. Maybe next time on slicks.
