I'm just wondering if anyone has upgraded their regular tial wastegate valve to a "race" valve designed for leaded race fuels?
and how hard is it to swap out?
Anyone have any problems running leaded race fuels with a non-race valve?
I'd like to hear some experiences...

I run leaded race gas in my rabbit with a tial gate and have had no problems..All the lead will do is put a light cushion of lead deposit on the gates valve seat..No worries

I agree. I cant see where it would be some huge problem at all between the two fuels. I have noticed that it seems race gas can be more corrosive to exhaust parts over a long period of time but i dont know why. Its like the pipes seem to get damaged more when it sits from the race gas collecting more moisture? Every time i pull apart a motor that sat even a week with race gas the cyl. bores will have light surface rust that doesnt happen with crappy pump gas. Anybody else experience this sort of thing?

hmmm... ok. I rememember reading the warning label that came with the wastegate that said something about having to upgrade the valve if used for race gas, but guess it probably won't matter too much in my case since its just weekend useage.
Also, where do you guys get your race gas, and what kind is it?

Meng I have my Tial right next to me, here is what it says:
**Attention**
Regarding Standard WG 38mm Valves.
These valves are not intended for leaded fuel use. You may request a racing valve that is intended for leaded fuel use. There is an additional charge for this racing valve. Extended use of leaded fuel will cause performance problems.
Sounds like they want to make teh $$$ to me
