With a better 60' only a 1.8 this thing will run 9.5's no problem. Damn!

to put things in perspective, my buddy ran 9.40 in his GTO with a 1.31 60 ft and only 142 mph, my sister inlaw runs 8.30 s @ 162 mph so if he could even achieve a 1.5 60 ft the car should easly run 9.20 s at the same speed.
Killer work guys, see you Monday.

Thanks guys!!! The car really laid down a killer MPH on the top-end, just need to get it out of the hole better.??We turned the boost down from the previous friday night so that Steve could get the car down the track.??We'll see ya soon Rothmund so we can get the tune down a little better and figure out exactly how much boost we are running.??Shouldn't be to difficult getting this car into the low 9 second range, it will just take some more time and balls. :D
I'll post up the timeslip tomorrow or the next day.

Update....with some help from Marty and Brian Rothmund out at Shelly's dyno the AC Cobra has put down 805RWHP & 667RWTQ at 22lbs of boost. They were able to lean it out pretty good, it was rich as hell when it was first thrown on the dyno (tune it had when it went 9.70@150).

You said I could ride in it. Is that offer still valid? :)

Yea, but they won't let anyone ride in it at the track anymore. So we'd have to set something up for running around on the street since you can't get a ride in it where it is SAFE to get on it.
