I was just wondering if there are people here that have ran at SRP and then at a track elswhere, such as Pacific, and what kind of time difference there is.

The reason I am asking is after this Friday I found out that I have the fastest stock turbo mail in flash Evo 8 in the US!! Nobody can really figure out how Im running the times I am with the level of mods on my car, cheap tires, and open front dif. Also Im trapping within 5mph of the fastest stock turbo Evo in the US and am in the top 5 mph wise. These cars are stripped, built, sponsored, and $100k+ cars.

Would be awsome if this is true but Im afraid of going over to Pacific or somewhere and find out that Im running 12's:(

I dunno man, that 11.6* sec run you had looked reallllly fuckin fast! What was your 60' on that?! I let my friend race my car so I was fortunate enough to be in the stands for your run, unfortunately he ran a 13.9 in my car, but considering its pretty much the first time he's ever really driven my car or any car like this, I can't make too much fun of him.

I am pretty sure they are accurate as hell. Lol...they weren't treatin me right at all....lol although if I wouldn't have kept getting my shoe caught on my pedal somehow I would have had more than one decent time.

SRP has been said to have "fast" clocks. This has never been proven either way. Some racers will tell you that SRP clocks are "corrected" and they read 3/10ths faster. However, as I understand it, this cant be done with SRP's timing system...so the only other way to have fast clocks is to shorten the track. I was going to go out and walk the track with a measuring wheel last season, but never got around to it. Maybe sometime this season I will.

I personally have never seen the SRP clocks to be different. I ran similar times here, woodburn, Pomona, and Las Vegas.

The times are accurate it may be an old system but it works! like special k said the only way it can be faster is if we shorten the track which we cannot do so therefore there accurate!

SRP is nationally known for always being about 3 tenths faster than everyone else. I can run at SRP, not change a thing, go to Boise have the same weather conditions and be 3 tenths off. Same when going to Seattle. Tons of other racers have the same reults. SRP is known for moving the starting line at times because of the poor launch pad. It should be measured.

Oh, and don't forget "It's a state of the art timing system". Ofcourse this has been reprinted since 1983.

Heres a breakdown of the slip

60' 1.69
1/8 7.49
mph 92.19
1/4 11.68
mph 119.04

What I dont understand is say the track is short, I am trapping 2-3mph higher than most others with the same mods. On a short track Id be trapping lower. Like I said I just hope I dont go over to Pacific later in the year and get a suprise.

Keep in mind the ambient conditions. Ive heard racers talk about spokane being fast...they go to seattle and run slower, but what they dont tell you is ambient conditions. You can have the same temperature in seattle and spokane but if seattle is reading a corrected altitude of 2500+ ft(as it was for BOTI) and spokane has good air the night you raced, then spokane will be faster.

Your 60ft is a huge reason for the low ET. General rule of thumb is .2-.3 for every .1 off the 60ft time. What are the 60's of the other people in the country? The rest of the slip looks good...there are no major anomolies within the timeslip. I would say it as accurate as anything else. Congrats!

Actually the 60' isnt that great for these cars with someone that knows how to drive. My problem is I have crappy tires and an open front dif. There are several people that have pulled 1.5+ 60's on street tires. 1.6's are average for a good driver on the newer Evo's (they have a LSD stock).

Ive personaly found the clocks here to be about .2 off. I had a very dialed in bracket car that in boise, portland, kent and vegas ran a very consistent 14.7@92-94mph. Now consider the fact that these are NHRA cert. tracks and use VHT through the 60ft mark. Spokane track isnt prepped in any way shape or form and on a 97 degree day last summer a brought my hatch out and went 14.5 and 14.6. Theres no way i was turning my best times ever in that car at our crappy prepped track. And usualy i was cutting 2.1 and 2.2 60ft. times at these other tracks and came here on the same tires and setup and cut consistent 2.0's. Sorry, i just dont believe that spokane is as accurate as it should be. Thats my personal experience. Wanna find out for sure, go to portland or kent which is pretty close to sea level at nice tracks and make some passes.
