I was just going throug my myspace and noticed that "FNSR" is closed for good this year.**Is that true or is it just another angry 17 year old with a keyboard? Or do we have any idea at all? Should I sign up to be a promoter of FNMG (friday night mini golf) instead?

That's what I asked a few days ago and got "jumped" for my lack of info even though I was asking the same damn thing. Jeffro says he doesn't know who "owns" that profile anymore so I just deleted him off my list.

Could that possibly be Orville or someone affiliated with him trying to keep people away from the track with the new management in place. Just a thought but like I said the guy I talked to earlier this week from the track seemed to know what he was talking about and said May 4th was first FNSR and would be run twice a month then 3 times in Sept.

Shit they should just expand the dirt bike track! We don't need another golf course. Spokane is becoming a retirement community!

I think running the lights on friday night would help a lot. It will keep some of the confusion and bitching about early starts to a minimum and will be reality check for all of the people out there that have never run with the lights hehe. All those 10 second cars are gonna start running 16's as if it were magic.
Though now that I think about it, giving 1000 newbies a first time lesson in lining up at the lights is going to get really annoying for some poor bastard out there lol

If they only run FNSR every other night and they run the lights at every one you are never going to get runs in. I bet 3 at the most, its going to be a cluster unless they start weeding out some of the POS racers.

well, if they start enforcing rules then alot of you wont be able to go
NIevo
04-09-2007, 07:31 PM
True, but they need to do something about the 18 year olds in their parents minivan out there. Or start running some real test and tune days/nights.

$5 for 3 runs is not bad at all...
QWIKRNU

They should charge $10 to race and start enforcing the rules. That would weed a few out.

True, but waiting 6 hours to get those 3 runs in the dark isnt worth it. Especially when you have to drive almost an hour to get there.

including a couple 11 second evos and eclipses without cages.

I can't seem to get below 11.5 lately so no need for a cage. This year I'm going to focus on the diesel truck and I know it won't be below 11.5.

11.99 and faster requires at least a 4 point roll bar i believe
BOOGEYMAN

11.49 and quicker require a 6 point roll bar, anything slower dosent need anything per NHRA.

I haven't looked at the rule book but I raced at California Speedway this past weekend and they told me 11.49 or faster. They don't mess around there. I ran a 11.55 with no problems but someone else ran a 11.41 and got the boot.
The only thing holding me back on the cage is not wanting to daily drive it with no helmet. I even found a 6pt. prefabbed one brand new for $600.

We called the track a couple a days ago and what we were told was its gonna be lights at every event, its every other friday, and its $10 to get in and $2 for a tech card.

Why would you need a helmet to daily drive it? NHRA requires you to put roll bar padding on it anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem.

It trapped 125mph this past weekend. I don't know what my problem is. There is a guy in Oregon with same setup and he ran 10.8 @ 136.

Did you log some of the runs? I wonder if your timing is needing some advance?
Its probably time for a leak down and comp test also.

The only downer about having a cage in your daily driver is if you get t-boned in the drivers side, you are going to die of head trauma (unless you are jeff evans and you head doesn't reach the hoop). Roll bar padding is designed to keep your helmet from splitting in such a situation, it will offer little aid to your skull.
