I have my battery relocated in my Talon and now need to figure out a good place for the power on/off switch?
I'm thinking of the hatch key lock area. Where are people mounting these at on 1st gen DSM's?

Thanks for the pic!
This is what I'm up against per NHRA rules.
"8:4 Master Cutoff rule
Mandatory if battery is relocated. An electrical cut off switch must be installed on the rearmost part of each vehicle and must be easily accessible from the outside of the car body. Must be connected to the POSITIVE side of the battery and must stop all electrical function including magneto ignition. The off position must be clearly marked with the word OFF. If the switch is a push pull type, PUSH must be that action for shutting off the electrical system. Plastic or keyed switches are prohibited."
I want to run at Boise and Yakama this year. So I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row.

hmm, to meet those rules I'd mount it between the tailights where you plate goes, you could just un-do the 4 bolts that hold that when your at the track and take that off and have the switch showing, then while driving around you could have it back on and it would'nt be visible.

I'll have to check that out. Sounds like a good idea.

Man it sucks that NHRA wants the switch to shut off when you push it in cuz that makes mine illegal. I did mine the other way cuz i wanted to make a sticker that said "PUSH ON...... JERK OFF!" heh heh

I took T's advice and mounted it under the L-Plate. Fits nicely without changing the stock appearance.
When I take it to a NHRA track two screws and remove L-plate ready to go racing. Now I just need to order one of the On/Off stickers.
