they have tech at srp? I always just sign the slip and hand it to him and he writes on a number, I think on the mustang they checked to make sure the battery was'nt bolted down also.

Haha finally after numerous times at the track the tech guy finally told me I had to replace my bungee corded battery with a real tie down or he wouldn't let me race next time. $10 says I could get in again though lol.

To add to the list:
Spectators park in spectator parking. Leave the pits for the racers and crews. I think this single move would help out the FNSR a ton on numerous levels.
Tech that doesn't say "get this fixed or next time you can't race." If it is dangerous enough for next time, it is dangerous for this time.
Scrape the rubber off the starting line. The Foxhunt (my first time racing this year... won money at that one!) had a sticky starting line, but it really needed to be scraped.
Tell the waterboys that more water in the burnout box is not better. Top Comp cars (nor any car that needs a burnout for that matter) don't need puddles to do a burnout.
Tell the god damn starter that when both bulbs are lit, to let go of the fucking button. Ask any of the Top Comp racers, most will say this is a problem. I have a damn good converter, but asking it to hold back over 700 ft/lbs of torque for multiple seconds is dangerous. Could be awfully messy to clean up if anyone were to blow.
Advertise the Saturday racing more. It would be nice to get a "Foxhunt turnout" every Saturday. I know my family has never all came out to watch me because the prices were to high. Perhaps a family pack coupon would help. It is hard to justify taking the family out there for "just a Saturday race" (as spectators) when it costs so much. But if it was $25 for a family, it now seems like an affordable alternative to the movies.
And finally, schecule at least one test n tune a month. Not a race, just a day where guys can come out, and actually test without being rushed. I think most people would be willing to pay ~20 for this. Not trophies, no money to win, just come out, tune, and make a pass when I want.
What is the scoop on the "World Finals?" I heard a commercial saying the annual nitro show and not mentioning AHRA. Do racers need to be a member of AHRA to race that event? I'd like to run all three days again, just wondering how much it's going to cost me.

That staff member or shall I say ex staff member has been terminated for that reason as I stated before! He was out of line and has been dealt with we have a zero tolerance for our staff to take action like that to our customers! I have already apologized for this several times I don't know what else I can do but I can assure you that the security member you witnessed do that will never be out there again!

But on the other hand kids or young adults these days have little or no respect for others or authority as well.
So some people might have an ass whoopin comin, whether they like it or not.
But I also heard it was a little excessive in the beating department.

I think GregC has some really good suggestions.

I think GregC has some really good suggestions.
And all but two of them are free to implement:
-Spectator parking lot for spectators. Pit parking for racers/crews.
-Appropriate safety tech. Not "better be fixed next time."
-No puddles or 5 foot long water spots in the burnout box. Most tires only have a contact patch of a foot at the most (front to back). The only thing more water does is allow it to be carried up to the starting line.
-Tell the starter to release the button when both bulbs are lit. Approx .5 seconds at the most. Holding converters needlessly causes wear and is dangerous. It shouldn't take a converter blowing up on the line (soaking the launch pad with oil and possibly injuring the driver, staff, or spectators) to make this change. Be pro-active, not re-active.
And the other two, while initially will cost money, should be profitable on the back side (more spectators means more concessions).

Same rules everytime.
Last 3 times I have gone out I got three different things told to me.
1st time- Nothin said about needing a helmet or hard top.
2nd time- 7-7-06 told I needed a helmet to run.
3rd time- Told it didn't matter if I had a helmet I still needed a hard top.
So what is the rule? Each time I still was let run. If I'm gonna run I wanna know what the rule is so I dont get out there pay and then get told I can't run.
I always understood it to be Helmet for like 12 sec or less or maybe it was 10. I can't remember specifics. My S2k could run a mid 12 at best. Not really sure cause I have only run 1 time with lights.
Vipers are runnin low 12s and 11s open topped w/ only a helmet so why am I gettin a different story when I come through?

No need for hostility. I simply was asking what the rule actually was and that it be the same everytime I go.
But thanks for freaking out on me.

Yeah I wear the helmet everytime. It just cracked me up that first time no one cared. Second time it was semi ok to just have helmet and third time they said I was a no go. Even though they let me go anyway. haha
So i guess this falls under the whole tech thing again really.

What's done to your S2000 that makes it a 12 second car?
Also if you think your car is really that fast, wouldnt you wear a helmet regardless?

I want to be able to talk to someone out at SRP within the next week to see what we can do to help make SRP a better place...I will also be making a new thread about the whole thing!
