The original thread: http://www.spokanespeed.net/showthread.php?tid=311

My friend is in the Air National Guard and is being deployed to Guam for a month, and while remodeling a house for his sister in Iraq, and having a life with his new wife, his car is still sitting. What I am going to try to do is have his Civic put together if not running by the time he gets home as a kind of good deed for the month for a really deserving couple type thing. His wife thought it was a great idea and said she will provide the food and drinks and anything else**that it will take to get someone over that has experience and can give me a hand.
He has an OBD1 swap ready but its just all the wiring and converting sensors and stuff that he really couldnt do on his own. So I'm here to recruit anybody that isnt a jackass and has done this type of thing before. If you can only come out for an hour and point to what I need to do or if you can take an afternoon and help me button the whole thing up any help would be great. He leaves on Thursday the 26th so I wouldnt start till after hes gone (want it to be a surprise if you didnt get that yet).
Post up or PM with any thoughts. Thanks!

My schedule is weird all the time so just PM me or keep me posted as to when its going down. I can't promiss i'll be able to make it but if i'm free i'd be more than willing to lend a hand.

one suggestion, since its an obd2 car with obd1 swap, how about using a obd2>obd1 jumper harness, they run about $90 and well worth it. its all plug and play from there!

another suggestion.... we should turbo it while we're at it.

This little guy will make your life easier with the swap.

OBD2a to OBD1

Guys, you rock. I'm pretty sure he has the OBD1 ECU but will find out for sure on that and on the harness from his wife. He might have switched a few things over but if he did it was the easy stuff that could be quickly switched back. Will keep you updated. Thanks a load.
