OK as most of you know I have a 95 AWD TSI with a 6 bolt swap. Well recently I did the magnus fix for the misfire code BS well the car runs great when it is warm but sometime in the AM the car has a hell of a time starting, if I do not allow the car time to warm up, she acts retarded.

The plugs and wires are new, all hose clamps were tightened.

I am also starting to have an idle surge issue, need to find time to go thru the VFAQ, but that seems to pertain to the 1G, it does not seem like you can mess with the BISS the way you could with a 1G. I dunno, any input would be great.

TPS isn't propperly aligned in then throttle body..**I've only fixed idle opperations with Dsmlink, I've never done it with just a multimeter or i'd help you out.**You can use the www.VFAQ.com check list to get you all setup..

Hmmm I have never done it with a multimeter as well, just played with it on my 1G and somehow got lucky. lol Thanks for the info I will check it out.

Check your coolant temp sensor for the computer.

I will give that a try as soon as the car cools down.

did'nt you do resistor mod on 2nd o2 sensor?

NOPE just cut the wires as they were already trashed. I was told by a few people that the 2nd O2 had no effect on the way it ran. I did do the Magnus fix for the 6bolt swap on a 2G. The car runs great except when it is cold.

hmm, since you put a potentiometer in to mess with the signal that the barometric pressure sensor is getting I bet thats where it's coming from since fuel would be different depending on barometric pressrure.

Shit I was just out there and there is nothing connected to the coolant temp sensor. lol WTF?!?!

Hmmm I wondered if the potentiometer could have been causing issues...

On cold startup most cars are in open loop and only look at a few sensors like: coolant temp sensor #1, TPS(just checking if its closed), not much else i believe but its still early in the morning. The second O2 sensor monitors how well the cat is working so in essense doesn't do jackshit.

Hmmm Well I need to find the Coolant Temp Sensor wires and plug them back in. lol They guy I bought the car from swears it was plugged in, I just need to locate it. It must have come off recently. Who knows. lol

Another guy suggested I undo the magnus mod and remove the TPS wires until I can get a DMS link. I think I will give that a shot when I have time.
