Ok, well I got my head back together and on my car now I have a check engine light, code 4, which is the crank position sensor, It is inside the dizz, but do I need to get a whole new dizzy or am I able to replace it? The dizzy is brand new, just got it a month ago have less than 400 miles on it. pleae some help would be nice!!!!

Hey Chad. brind it by and well throw it on my car and verify that its the probem, and if so ill help you rebuild it as ive got like 10 dist. in a box. Call me or mike.

Yea I made sure...jeez...LoL.... well tonight we have to go to chris's and get her tranny fixed and new clutch in. But I'll give you guys a call, I need to do a valve adjustment and check a few other things, but i'll call ya tonight.

Dude does the engine you have even have a crank position sensor? Or do you have an ECU that has a crank sensor pin and senses that there isnt one on your motor? That kinda shit happens all the time if you did an engine swap . Say you did a obdo motor into a obd2 car EXAMPLE b18a into 97 civic or something like that.

It does have a crank sensor, but its in the distributor. You can put OBD0 motors into OBD2 cars since all the provisions for basic sensors are the same. Ive done a 90 LS b18a1 into a 97 civic ex. You just have to use the OBD2 sonsors on the motor and an OBD2 dizzy. But no, in the GM or Dodge sense....hondas do not have a crank trigger on the crank or anything like that.

Well I am going tonight to grab my dizzy and I will give you/mike a call and probibly come over and we can try and figure it out. I was sick as hell yesterday so I wasnt able to go get it. See ya later today.
