It pulled the tires and then lost traction, thats some serious suspension gremlins man. You guys still running those ladder bars under there? Dear god I hope you changed those brakes ;-)

Now I can see it.....No traction at all!!! That thing is going to run very hard when you get it to plant the tires!
Travis.
I couldnt see the reader board at the end of the track eithor........Maybe it was all those people in the stands blocking the view.

That car is very impressive to say the least! Greg might have to start watching his back since i think you can give him a run for his money. Its hard to say whats wrong with the rear suspension since it did hook and then let loose. It could be bad track prep ( go figure) and hit a slick spot 10 ft.out or shock rebound settings not dampening the after launch movements enough but i agree with you that more up-travel is needed to keep it from bottoming out and unloading the chassis. If its really eating up that much up-travel maybe go up one hole on the ladder bar? It shouldn't be compressing the shocks near that much on launch. it should actually slightly extend them as the side wall wads down right? I dont think its too far off actually but all the variables havent been taken into account yet like tire pressure, 2 step RPM and ladder bar position. She gonna be FAST though!

Hey russ did you guys have a driveline built for that car at some time?? If so check that it is not to long..... Todd Hoernor had this problem with his new GTO in testing! The drive line was a little to long resulting in it bottoming out in the trans and not letting the suspension roll up and make it work properly, hook right on the hit then spinn and shake untill it relaxed!! When it would bottom out it was acting like a solid suspension, He went through everthing to make it quit shaking and spinning and finally this was the problem.
Anyway just another something to take into account!

Nice input we will check all those out.
I took a ton of HP out of it, (pulled a shit load of timing and ran low bottle pressure) so I'm kinda confused on why its acting this way.
I'm not a chassis guy by any means. lol
Can't wait to add another 150 HP worth of nitrous to it.
Thanks again for the nice job on the spool install and carb tuning!!!

Travis we will look at that also its a custom drive line so this could be a possibility.

What tires and what tire pressure? Your video guy needs to video the car reaction more so than just the run. The first video's profile is alright but needs to include the back half of the car. The second video is too far away and needs to be more of a side profile.
Once you get the video taping down, you can slow the video way down and see what changes need to be made.
Here is a video of mine. Anyone want to speculate what changes should be made? (Besides more VHT and shutting my trunk lid.)
Linky to video. (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/e83f84ba-93c3-4686-a427-993500bf6313.htm)
FYI, the double hit is due to peddling it.

wow who car is that? what engine combo?
Its Alan, Brett and Josh Scott's Camaro(father sons). Good family friends.
Myself, Jody Watts and the Scott family have been working on it for about four years.
It has a Steve Schimdt 523 Pro Street Series 10.5:1 pump gas engine with a NOS Pro Race Fogger nitrous system. With a Mikes Transmission**powerglide.
Back half with ladder bar coil overs.
Were hoping to get the suspension dialed in so we can throw another 150 worth of spray at it.;-)

Hey Russ i think the driveline is ok since i put it in and didnt have to fight it but still worth a look since geometry and ride height could still have it in a bind possibly. I noticed the lack of suspension movement in the vid too. Its like the bar angle is perfectly neutral by chance and the weight transfer aint happenin.

Thats right you guys had it apart when you put the new spool in it.
I couldn't remember what the drive shaft clearance was from two years ago when we put it together. lol
I wish I would of taken the video closer and concentrated more on the rear end. That would of help a ton, oh well there is always next time.
Thanks for the input!!!

Video is an amazing tool. I learned so much about how my car reacts watching vid. and you see things you have no idea are happening sitting in the driver seat. Get some vid from directly behind it too cuz you might be amazed how a ladder bar equipped car will still pitch rotate on launch! Shouldnt something have to bend to do that with ladder bars? Ken Bohenek's GTO used to get sooo bent out of shape with ladders and everything looked fine underneath. ???????
