Thats kinda what I thought. Crap!!!

Its time to turn it up and run 25psi with a 150shot. But I need the good fuel to keep the engine alive.

I want 10 seconds bad;-)

Oh no you don't. I have to hit the 10's first. Then you can run all the 10's you want.

Are you serious? What are you looking at a single wet or fogger system?

I would like too but I shouldn't spend the money right now. Just for the hell of it, how much would a nice setup cost?

Hey russ, what about Mustang Andy. What octane does he sell? Ya know, i have been running the shit from the pump out at the stateline that they claim to be 110 octane with no complaints whatsoever. Look at what i have done to that poor little 150k motor and it has been apart several times with no damage evident whatsoever.
I guess im safely making around 110 hp per cylinder so i dont know how that pans out with an import motors requirements though.
The stuff does burn clean though! This is my cylinder head a few days after i last saw you at the track on Renegade 110.

I'm not sure what Mustang Andy is selling?

I have given it some thought on running 100% Renegade 110. Its one of those things that I wish there was a easy way to figure out what the motors octane requirements are.

I'm still running a H2O-Meth 50/50 mix. So that will help. Plus I'm really conservative when it comes ign-timing.

I might go ahead and try it.:-o

hey Russ, I have a fresh barrel of 112 sonoco, if you are interested. Let me know if you need any.

mark6052
06-20-2007, 01:22 AM
not to start an arguement but sonoco 112 does not come close to being the same as vp c16. its closer to c12. sonoco uses an average rating. its about a 108 motor I believe, same as c12. the c16 is 116 motor. its also designed to burn slower and colder for the turbo and nitrous use. octane is not the only thing to look at when buying a fuel. c15 and c16 are very different fuels yet the same octane. burn characteristics are to be considered. I suggest to all that you checkout vpfuels.com and the other fuel sites. most winning dragracers use VP. fact not brag. they also have abunch of unleaded fuels. enough infomercial.:2cents:

Hey Mark,

This is Greg Carlsen. Tuggle's son-in-law. Glad to see you on here.

Russ, Mark sells it by the drum. Good guy to work with. He is who we get our fuel from.

This year I've been running pump gas. I figure I make ~100HP per cylinder and it has worked great. You should give that 92 octane stuff a shot Russ. :P

greg, thanks for the props. but OUCH! pump gas:shocker:please say it aint so. VP has some 98 octane if you want to try it. its not as cheap as chevron pump but...I think im gonna:vomit:

hey Mark I live just a few blocks from you over on Loma dr.......if you are still in the same place. How much for a drum of the 98 oct?? I had a chance to play with the N20 at seattle this past weekend with a nitrous top sportsman ride, the fuel acts totaly different from the 16.

Thanks,

Travis.
