I just found this site...I have a bunch of research/notes that I have collected from all over the net since I have been working on transplanting a FD3S motor/tranny to my FC3S '88 turbo chassis with blown motor. :cross: PM me if anyone has electrical /wiring harness expertise. :ughbow:

the wiring is easy, just depends if you want all the gauges to work and stuff. to just power the ecu to make it run isnt that tuff. im geting ready to do the same swap to my fc3s.

I would like to run my T2 as a "daily driver" with the original twins setup (with an edge towards performance and capability to upgrade the horses/ecu to standalone as time/$$$$ permits.) I have the engine harness; the newer coils/harness and the ECM (N3A7) for the new motor. I am still looking on how to connect all the older '88 T2 wiring into the new ECM if that is even possible. I am now pursuing a complete US 93-95 US or 96+ JDM complete wiring harness to splice into my existing '88 gauges, etc.
I have found the mods that you need for the oil pan/a source for the
custom motormounts for the FC....I am sure you know better than I...I am just a newb trying to figure it out. :-)

Ever considered just running aftermarket guages for Tach, Speedo, Oil Pres, water temp, etc.?

I have definitely considered it, and will probably wind up going that route...I just thought it would be cool to have a "sleeper=stock" looking T2 with a TT motor in it so no one would really be able to tell the diff by looking at the interior/chassis exterior (unless I lift the hood, of course).
