I was asked to get the word out that there will not be racing on the 7th or the 14th. The schedule said there was no racing on the 7th and there is racing on the 14th and then Barry Davidson signed up a big road course event on the 14th, so they decided that they would go ahead and race the 7th instead. Now I guess from what I heard from Larry Taylor today is that there is conflict with that now and they are just going to not have any drags for the 7th or the 14th.

Hmm, that's wierd. We have a drag racer in the mustang club and tonight he said it was still on this Saturday......

We got the same thing from Larry a couple of days ago. Would be nice if they stuck to their own schedule but I guess that would be asking too much.

Yea Phil, from their exact words... "The road course makes more money then the drag strip so I would rather cancle a drag race then lose the road course racers."

I know how much ya'll hate Orville here but atleast when he had control we knew that we would be racing on the days that were on the schedule.

I guess that would mean that when they told the courts that the track was making tons of money and Orville was only "claiming" some of it. That would have been a lie....The track dosen't make what the claomed it did. I would like to know how Jimmy validates getting paid to just be there during the week when nothing is going on. Serious abuse of the money the track did have to cover the things like insurance and a real ambulance! It's sad very sad to watch it go away. And people thought it would get better if orville wasn't there.................

Speaking of which, where is their cheerleader Troy anyways? I see that after he got his wish (the track out of Orville's hands) he has fallen off the face of the planet.

With all his promisses, he is either one of two things:
1) a flat out liar
2) a piss poor businessman

Oh yeah, here is a big FUCK YOU to all the cry baby investors who didn't do shit for the first ~30 years of their failed investment.

The last time I heard anything about troy it was in the news paper that he was be Evicted from his place by the Sheriff's Dept, then he was kicked out of the track also once barry and jimmy got there hands on it! So I think it means both 1 and 2!

Ha! Troy is both 1 and 2 and then some. Troy was only pissed in the first place because he thought if he worked out there for a while he would get his hands on the business when Orville handed it down. When he heard that he would in no way be anywhere near management of the track and he heard who would, he got pissed and stole a bunch of stuff from the office when Orville wasnt there and then started all this bullshit with the investors. Mainerd Moe Troys dad by my guess got into it to back his son up since he from what i know still holds shares of SRP. Earl Moe the other brother from what i was told doesn't even have any shares anymore. He sold them to orville years back to support his gambling habits.

I second that motion LOL it would be different if they actually got off of their asses to do something about it, instead of some pissed off family member trying to be greedy. im sorry, but i dont feel sorry for any of those investors!

Yup! Everyone bitched about how greedy Orville is/was, but you know what? He didn't just cancel prior commitments that were on the schedule because someone showed up with a few more dollars in their hand.

When the $1000 bracket shootout was being setup, current management said extra insurance money was needed ($1000++). Well, the organizer decided to check for himself and it turns out the management was LYING! The tracks current policy didn't state anything about needing extra dollars for an extra race. When confronted with this info, the management dismissed it as a misunderstanding. How much does anyone here want to bet that the people who are renting the road race course are plopping out extra $$$$ for so-called "insurance?" And whos pocket do you think it is going into? It isn't the investors. Also notice how the shootout has been completely cancelled because someone didn't "play ball" with the management. Fucking thieves.

All this is based on one-sided hearsay, but it is completely believable and likely with what I have seen happen out there.

Is there racing the 13th of July?

Someone told me they heard on the radio that Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th there will be no drags.

Anyone else?

so the rumor about the county buying the track...was it just that a rumor??

gregc
07-07-2007, 06:45 AM
Everything about that place is just a rumor. I remember back when all the cheerleading was going on to get Orville out and when that happened, it would be a better place. That rumor was false. Or that they were going to lay concrete. That rumor was false too.

If anything this SRP ordeal is shown, it is that the wheels of law turn VERY SLOW.
