If I had to choose Id go with Challenger, sell it and buy a 70 R/T, shaker hood, dana rear, and drop in 440 in it possibly with some F/I

um, the corvette link page (at the top) SAYS "concept" so I believe it is......a concept car..yea ;)

Damn...everyone is saying the Challenger...and i really like the camaro...lol Maybe it was the Transformers movie that made me fall for it.. Oh well. But i really do like how the challenger looks exactly like the older one... its looks pretty damn sexy.

lmao...i've loved the camaro since the concept was drawn few years ago....and i creamed myself at transformers i love the camaro and if they do what chevy keeps saying they'll do then i'd buy one when it comes out.

So +1 for the Camaro and hope they offer a SS with LS2


BTW...Challenger looks good too but i'm still bitter that they stuck the charger name on a 4 door (good car wrong name)

the v8 camaro does come with an LS2 either way (didnt the 4th gens not have any differnce in the z28 and SS other then the cosmetic aspects??)...i just was looking at the 'performance' section of that site. also both manual and automatic trannys are 6 speeds.

I saw the Camaro at SEMA last year and was not impressed on how the doors fit the quarters and fenders. The pics make it look a lot better then it really is.

The doors look like a total after thought.

The SS was rated at 345 hp stock compared to the 325 hp of the Z in 01-02. The SS supposedly had a better air intake system and exaust but if you threw them both bone stock on a dyno they would make the same power or right around each other. However there is a power difference between 98-00 and 01-02 cars. My 99 Trans Am made 280rwhp stock and my 02 WS6 made 312rwhp stock. LS6 intake, 241 heads (better flowing) and also had 28.8lb injectors compared to the 26.8 in the 99-00. As far as the LS2 in the new camaro thats right on but done be surprised to see the LS3 in them very soon.

Why not offer the SS with the LS7 that would be better. I also like the Camaro never been much of a Mopar kind of guy


GM has already stated that the LS7 is solely for the Corvette....you know its the same old story that Chevy is worried that something else will steal the vette's thunder so they have the corvettes own special motor.

I just like the idea of getting one with an LS2 and slapping a ProCharger on it.

and maybe i'm a retard...but whats a LS3 suppose to be?

well...l92 i thought was already aluminum but either way more displacement is better. If the slap 600hp on a z06 then that does open up the LS7 option for a SS...or dare i say maybe a Yenko or COPO cars??

The L92 is aluminum. Basically from what I have been reading the LS3 is almost identical to the L92 except it has 10.7 to 1 compression and a few other different things. I think it would be sweet for the SS to come with a LS7 option but I highly doubt that will happen. I actully don't really like the idea of GM putting a Supercharger on the vette or a f-body that is what the other companys had to keep up with GM's NA cars and the new ZO6 still dominates the competition of the Viper and Ford GT. I don't think it was time for them to have to go forced induction yet

Yeah!!! Holdin' it down for the five star!! Dodge Challenger all the way! TRUST me guys...the 6.1L Hemi is a BADASS motor.....425hp......take my word for it - I've driven several Charger SRT-8's since I do sell for a D/C/J dealership....and it FAAAAAST.....and the Challenger will be about at least 500-800 lbs lighter!

well I drove a 300C SRT-8 the other day...and was impressed BUT...it didn't quite seem as fast as 425hp should feel...wondering if this is do to the ecu detuning the engine when the transmission shifts.......also drove a Trailblazer SS (not stock) that was quicker than the srt8......

...as for the CTS-V...well we have one of those on the lot too.....but i didn't have a reason to drive it but it looked posh

Na caddy was only on jackstands for a couple days. Just was replacing the center resonator with an hpipe. :-) As for the camaro, well ya kinda looks a lot like pull n save
