Official Press Release for Todd Hoerner Racing

Press Release – 08/23/2007

Spokane, WA – For many years northwest sportsman racer Todd Hoerner has dreamed of going fast, having started his racing at a young age and dominating in the Super Street ranks of the AHRA. When that wasn’t enough he moved up to the Super Gas ranks. During his tenure with the AHRA Todd won 7 world titles.

Though the AHRA was kind to Todd the NHRA was his racing home, which also saw Todd win many races in Super Street, Super Gas and Super Comp. Along came Chris Blair, a young, talented, vibrant, creative NHRA Division 6 director and with Chris came Top Comp. Todd now saw another opportunity, a couple of very fast doorcars later and enough Wally’s to fill a small bookcase another dream was about to be realized.

In 2007 and a different D6D saw the Top Comp class split and Todd’s favorite class was formed, Top Sportsman. The 2007 season brought Todd an opportunity to race beside other fast doorcars and another chance to hone his racing skills to prepare him for his ultimate dream.

That dream has been realized!

Todd Hoerner is going Pro Stock racing, Todd is very excited about this opportunity and is eager to get started but knows there is still a lot to learn. Todd’s current schedule will see him testing in St. Louis on September 10th-11th. Once testing is complete in St. Louis Todd will head south to Memphis to make his Pro Stock debut at the O’Reilly Mid-South Nationals from September 14th-16th. Todd knows that making the field will be tough but hopes are high and the team will do everything they can to compete at the high level required in the Pro Stock class.

Todd’s dream season will include stops in Dallas for the O’Reilly NHRA Fall Nationals, Las Vegas for the AC Delco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals and to finish the season he will head west to Pomona for the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals.

Todd is currently working out details to race in 2008, currently he is scheduled to compete at Pomona to open the season, Las Vegas and in his home state of Washington in Seattle.

Todd would like to thank Steve Schmidt, Wally Stroupe, Automax USA, and all of his friends for their support, and excitement.__

Todd is doing his own thing, with Steve schmidt doing the engines and Wally Stroupe doing the chassis, there is a write up on pro mod source as well. He got his licence last year in tommy browns ride, cant wait for testing.

WOW! It takes a lot of money to do ProStock. Something like 1M to start and 1M to run for the year.

We might have to caravan to one of his race's.

What's he doing for a crew? How about someone to drive the rig?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just want to thank Wally, and Steve for giving me this dream of a lifetime, to get a chance to run pro stock at some selected NHRA events. I have waited 25 years to get this oppurtunity. Wally is getting some cars back into pro stock, and Steve is having Wally build him a new pontiac G6 that should be finished by the end of the year, so he can start out the new season, get some testing in, and start off the season with some great expectations. Steve has always made big power, and now getting the two of them teamed up, it should be a great combination. With Wally's fast car, and Steve's big power.....look out. I am fortunate, and have been working with steve for 7 years now, running his powerplants, and he has always exceeded my high expectations. His guys are a great group, and always stand behind there work. Heck Steve is now warranting race motors for 1 full year!! Nobody in the industry will even come close to that guarantee!!!
I have been involved just recently with Wally Stroupe, and I can tell you first hand, he builds a beautiful, fast race car, and bends over backwards to accomodate his customers. His employees are first class, and take a high amount of pride in there workmanship. Wally is always coming up with new ideas, to make the race car, safer, faster, and to look outside the box, for some new innovative technology in the sportman catagory, comp eliminator, pro mod, and in pro stock. I got the two of them together for this joint venture, and they were both gracious enough to make my dream come true. thanks again,

Todd Hoerner

Cant wait!
