On pump gas its ran 10.54@133mph on just the motor. Its a 10.3:1 compression engine with a nitrous cam that kills the HP without the bottle. We should be making a nitrous pass this weekend.

Just got a phone call. My crew guy was out this weekend and saw that talon run. Fastest he saw it run was 11.37 or so. Was running 11.4s during actual racing.

For what it worth, i was kinda hangin out with the guy saturday night and i did see his slip for an 10.28. He even admitted the car is not consistent at all, and true he had been doin low 11's most of the day, but the car is capable of low tens, i saw it for myself.

What was his MPH if you seen the slip? MPH will give me an idea of what a DSM will run, to hit a 10.28 pass he would have needed a 138-140mph pass on slicks and that is a dead perfect run with a 1.5 60ft, on street tires he would need a 144-147mph pass. It's just the way DSM's are.

I went 10.66 @139mph on low profile tires last season, and that was beating the shit out of the car, banging the gears, and power shifted 4th gear.

I highly doubt he went from a 11.4 to a 10.28, Thats a HUGE difference. maybe you looked at the guy that he raced? I have seen this car, I know exactly what is done to it as I helped him awhile back assem the motor, it is a stock 1g build with stock rods and pistons, stock intake manifold ect ect. Him and a few buddies put the rest together and did it the very cheap way if you ask me. His car is full weight at 3350lbs, and he is a good 250lbs as he is a pretty fat guy. So to acheive such ET he would have had to been pushing around 700whp. And that is just impossiable on a stock motor, the head is stock as well except the 272/272 cams, he is still on a stock head gasket as well. I would more beleive he ran a 11.4, that is very beleiveable for the mods done to the car, but 10.28, I call BS unless I see back to back time slips with the same race #. He has been known to show people timeslips with people that he ran up against and told them the other car was his.

You should keep it. If you want to go crazy go with a 2.4 destroked to 2.1 with the 42r. RnR racing is building one right now and it is supposed to be racing on the show pinks at the end of august.

The 37r is probably going to be the best bang for buck/street turbo you can get, they spool just damn near as fast as the 35r and make plenty of power uptop. As you allready know Dan with the white AMS evo went 9.80's @147mph with the 37r and a 2.4 stroker.

Basically a 37r is a ball bearing T67 that flows 75lb/min. It has the 37r exhaust wheel with the T67 compressor wheel mated into the garrett BB CHRA. It will use the same style of compressor housing as the 35r .70a/r compressor housing, and you can have it in a t3 or a t4 based exhaust side. for street use I would do the t3 based 37r (68 or the 82 a/r exhaust housing).
I have talked to Martin at AMS alot about this turbo. They have been selling like hot cakes and works very very well. If I were to get another t67 based turbo it would be the 37r all the way.
You won't have to get some massive manifold and change all sorts of shit like you would for the 42r. Yeah the 42r is the bad dog of them all, but consider everything you need to change over for that turbo.
