OK heres the deal. I got a 2003 Jetta GLS 2.Slo Auto. The only reasons i got the car back in va is: 1. i needed a asap 2. It was an 03 with 9,000 miles on it. 3. It was in perfect condtion. Now Ive been trying to see if i can do a straight trade for a 00-03 jetta 1.8t 5spd, with out effecting my loan. If i get another car ill more than likely be upside down and will owe 30,000 on a 17,000 dollar car(just an example). So with that said do yall think a 5spd conversion should be considered. Im pretty sure i can find a wrecked jetta and get all the parts for about 800-1000 dollars. And im pretty sure i can do it myself, due to the fact that i done 2 5spd coversion on honda's. Thanks for your time to read this long a** thread. That is all.

Well I don't know about the mechanics of it all but you would have to enjoy driving it more with a 5 speed.

I get bored when i drive. But yeah 2,000 is a bit much. So i think i might just take some time and find everything at a junkyard and go from there.
