So what did everyone make for power yesterday? I wanted to come in the cobalt but Brian couldn't have waited till sunday on my day off lol. Anyway just curious

It is a .030 over 454,Dart Pro 1 heads,10.0:1 KB Pistons (92 octane racing,89 on the street.) Comp Extreme Energy 294H Flat Tappet with 1.8 rockers. victor jr. intake and 825 mighty demon. :beer:

I think I won the award for... lowest dyno of the day at a whoppin 213 hp and 238 ft/lbs.

I'm a little disappointed. I thought it would do 220-230 easily.

Just remember dyno numbers don't mean anything your 1/4 time is pretty impressive I think

i got 333hp and 303 torqe i am 99% sure it only ran 15psi cause i watched it the whole time. there is someone that is challenging that. he was standing likle 10 feet away and i have had over 5 people stand in the same spot and see if they could see my boost gauge and nobody can so i don't know how he did. anyway that number is pretty good but i know i can go to 400hp with another 5-8 psi so its time to get some c16 add some timing and do it again. and im still working on all the vids from dyno day so they will be up soon

So is that person whos challenging your dyno numbers saying that its too high or too low for the PSI level??

It looks to me like it should be making more, but i could be wrong...

i never said you were a backyard mechanic ive kept my mouth shut until i had people telling me that you were talking crap. i didn't use your name here because i was being respectful. dude ive told numerous people that i have no problem with you. i was trying to make things right with what happened at the shop with trevor and pay you out of my pocket what HE owes you. all i have been doing is trying to be civil with you. then i go to the dyno and i get people telling me that. yeah it pissed me off just as it would you. im not playing games. i came up to you on dyno day and tried to talk to you and you gave me an attitude. whatever i didn't say your name here cause im not trying to bring all the members into it. and for the record i have not said that your are blowing cars up if anything i said that i was impressed with your cars times and you obviously tuned it ok ive never herd anything about you tuning any other car so i dont know where that came from. all im saying is you have to be really close to my gauge to read it. and like i said i had a lot of people stand the same distance and they couldn't see it. Im totally happy with my numbers and the car has alot more to go, im just trying to have fun with this and it sucks to hear that kind of crap. if you say you didn't talk crap then great but after 3-4 people telling me you are then what do you expect me to say. just remember i tried to become your friend again many times, you are the one that said no because im friends with chad and tiff, then you turn around and start hanging out with them. dude its all good i still don't have a problem with you. i shouldn't even be mad about all this its just stupid crap. once again I HAVE NO PROBLEM With you and if you came up to me tomorrow and had a conversation with me that would be great. its Spokane people talk way to much and we are all busy fighting when if we were just all friends we would progress in our sport a lot faster. wow sorry i didn't realize how long this was. have a great night steve i hope some time in the future we can put this shit behind us and be ok but at this point thats your decision. im not even going to mention your name anymore because people just love to set people up for drama so that they are entertained.

sorry about that, anyway in response to evosol ? it was just a misunderstanding about how much boost i was running. i was trying to run 22psi but when i ran and i watched the gauge on the 3rd pull it only went to 15. i looked away for a split second to check rpm but i looked back and it still said 15psi. so worse case scenario i ran 20psi (my controller only allows 22 so thats all it could have gone to) so at 20psi it put down 333hp and 303 torque, my goal is 400hp, so i know the car is capable of doing it. i add some race gas and go to 28psi and using the 10hp per psi then that puts me at 400hp easy. plus i can add some more advance timing with the race gas....so whatever the dyno showed me what i figured and hoped the car had. like someone said its E.T that matters. im at 11.8 now on small drag radials. so on slicks and a sticky track (not Friday night at SRP at 35 degrees) then i should dip a 10 sec et. thats my goal, when i run that im totally happy. oh yeah im almost done with the other dyno vids. thanks for waiting.

I made 7xx something on the juice. About 250-300 off it's mark. My converter is dead. The motor threw something loose too and needs to get pulled. Sad day for me. :(

Hopefully it isn't too bad Greg, would like to see it out next year killing more bikes! :) I knew the car was loud, but damn! When it backfired before the pulls it was kind of funny to watch everyone scatter real quick, wish I had the camera running for that.

I got 304HP/347TQ out of the TA, was hoping for 310+. Have done seafoam to it and wondering if that is maybe playing hell with the cats or something. I think the only fix is to throw on some LT headers and ORY pipe and take it back and have Marty tune it! :)

The GTP did 219/237, was hoping to hit the 220 mark, but I think Ryand I are running too much fuel just to try and eliminate any KR. I will have to try and mess around with upping to the 3.6 pully instead of the 3.4 and pulling a bit of fuel. I think both of our A/R was something like 10.7, they do seem pretty consistant at the track, even with the lower numbers than we expected.

Was pretty impressed with what the CRX put down, what engine you running in it? It the stock one or you swap in another one? Wanted to stick around and watch some of the other cars go but we had a lunch date that the wife was on my case about being late for. Will split up the taping I did over the next couple days and try posting them up somewhere.

That was a quick purge of the nitrous system while in neutral (purge into the motor). If I would of purged just the nitrous first, it would have been a bit smoother.

What size turbo are you running? If its 81mm bore and a 57trim like most of the guys are running you should be very close to 400whp around 20psi. But you are right, E.T. is what matters... unfortunately i only build and tune dyno queens.:confused:

The knock ceiling on them B-motors are much higher than the D's, take advantage of it on pump gas, you'll make more powa per psi than you would on race gas (assuming all things being equal).

317 hp @ 6400 rpm 302 tq on motor for me with a spark plug wire arching
we found it was loose so we popped it back on and turned the bottle on
(100hp jets)the pressure was only 750PSI but we tried it anyways
384hp 384tq but the low bottle pressure was a pain... it went dead rich at 5500 rpm and wouldnt pull passed that.... We tried it again but the pressure was down to 650PSI and it became pointless went dead rich at 5100 on that one.. All in all I am still pretty impressed for a 9.5:1 350 with AFR Heads...

Oh well atleast it worked good when it counted at the track. lol...

My pos put down 360 hp and 362 tq and pressurized the cooling system yet again, but drove it home and left 75-100' black marks down barker rd. GOOD TYMES !!!

its just a t3 t4 turbo .63 ar its ok and yeah i know that on 20+psi i should be right at about 400hp thats why i know it only ran 15, well that and the guage only read that. oh well im going to do it again in about a week and im going to put the camera inside this time so i can be sure. thanks for the reply

Ya i was too broke to strap my car for one, and for 2 the motor is still being broke in. And i dont know where your getting 500hp from. Ive never made that claim. Most ive ever said is over this winter i wanna be able to build a bottom end to handle 500 hp since i have everything else to do it.
