I am considering getting a 2008 Hayabusa. How adaptable are they to someone tall? I am 6'2" and 235#.
Probably start with:
Braided brake lines
Exhaust/pc/filter
Sprockets (if available)
Tires
Get suspension set up to my weight.
Does anyone have any experience with this bike? What should I look out for? Any vendors/manufacturers to avoid?
Black and grey looks sick to me but I am weak for shiny objects.

Good advice. I rode my Mom's Harley Dyna Low Rider a few times and she also had a shorter seat (less padding). It was comfy to ride but come up to a light and I felt like I was squatting down.
I am seeing guys doing a peg replacement with a TL kit from the gxxr and occasionally forks.
It may be out to the '09 model, before I can get this, money-wise. If I have to wait that long, I may need diapers on my keyboard to catch all the drool.
THEN! I can bring the car and the bike to the track and race twice as much as the suckers who have to sit. Or five times as much, since once the bikes start going, they run a few times before the cars get to go. That was a management decision, I understand. I wonder what will happen with the new management?
It will make the ride to work a lot more enjoyable. With my luck, I'll get it right before they lower the speed limit back to 55. And the track will close. I'll have nowhere to responsibly be irresponsible.

I work across the street from the gypsum plant, on Euclid so, come summer, I'll probably stop in. I have a hard time imagining what a Hayabusa would be like on a tune. Actually that's not true.
I just can't get anything else done, while I am imagining that.

550hp from a bike? Is this some sort of sick joke?
No.

Well Dennis is pretty tall and isn't a small guy by any means and he handles his pretty damn well.
He is the guy with the Pearl White Busa that runs low 10s out at the track.

FWIW I'm 6' 3" and fit on a GSXR 600 no problems, I'm guessing a Busa would be even more comfortable

Whew. I really don't want to get my hopes up, then go try one out and feel like a muffin-top.

I did the NOS install the second time on Dennis bike, that thing is bad ass. The first guy did a little scabby work but mainly had some poor conections. I dont think he ran the NOS on any friday night stuff here but he ran it at the Moses Lake Drag races late in the season.

I'm pretty sure he ran the nitrous when he raced the Cobra TT.

How did that race go? I have a weakness for Cobras... and now Hayabusas...
Damn my growing weaknesses!

I'm guessing unless the cobra had issues the bike was seeing taillights.

Dennis got squirrelly at 1/8, i think probably about when the N2O kicked in so he backed off slightly and the cobra ran a I believe a very very low 10 or a high 9.
I don't really remember though cause it was two seasons ago.

No I didn't have the video camera that night. I know we talked about it on here before the forum change.
I know Dennis handed Scott's Viper its ass at least once though and well thats pretty damn good in itself.

I rode Dennis' bike and I'm 6'5" and thought it was pretty comfy. No complaints about the Busa at all!

I think that was one of the first times he ran the old system and didn't have it throttle activated. He hasn't used it at Spokane since Brian reinstalled it. I don't think Cobra tail lights are in his future at all.

Shit that's quick. Like 149-155MPH? That'll throw all the kinks out of your spine.
Sick. Power wheelie until 140MPH? My underwear would be a total loss. 243 MPH and he just runs out of gears.

Aaaaand stupid. 500hp. Power wheelie all the way to redline, in sixth gear.

Yeah, I know the Cobra was like right at 155 or 156 trap speed. Just don't really remember what Dennis did. I know it was by far faster than any other bike out there and by a HUGE margin.

I read an online article that mentioned that a pro did 9.95, on a stock bike. And if it was on the internet, it must be true!
