Like anywhere on the streets! Well you've got a problem I've got an answer Friday Night Street Racing out at S.R.P.! Every Friday night gates open at 8 racing starts at 9 its only 5 bucks to get in and race WHAT! I'll say it again IT"S ONLY 5 BUCKS TO GET IN AND RACE! Oh and don't forget were running lights and times on Friday 8/18/2006! So put your ride back together go get your slicks and lets see some 10 second street cars!

What an absolute cluster fuck tonight.??I ran 2 times, & waited in stageing for 1 hour and 45 mins before making it down my final??time, In wich I forgot to turn on my Meth pump.??Ran a wopping 13.4 at 90MPH knocking and alllll the way through 2nd/3rd. I must had let my foot off the gas 5 times..lol..??GAY!!!!

HSD was pretty slow, all domestics, only QUCKRNU and I as far as imports went...??I litterly created my first timing/fuel map in the waterbox area, I was cutting it that close.??I waisted 2 of my 3 time trials fucking with settings running somthing stupid, like a 14.7, 15.3 then 13.3 for my last run.??I thought I'd be cool and turned up my boost to 21psi without leaning more fuel out and started missfireing bigtime on my elimination round with IDC of 98.7% for a 13.8....??Only good thing I was doing was getting tonight was 1.80 0-60's.?? Aside from that, Bid dissipointment.??

I got my car dialed in satisfactory, although there are some minor things i still need to toy with.

The track shouldn't have been letting the bikes go through as much. The cars only got to run once or twice, but the bikes went through 3 or 4 times. The track also needs to learn to push the cars faster. There was just too big of intervals between launches.

I ran a 13.6@103 for my best last night. Not too bad, considering I still don't know how to launch my car. I've only had it for 3 weeks and this was the first time I've actually raced. My goal was 13.5, and I think I could have gone 13.4 but after my 3 TT runs, I didn't run again because I was planning on waiting for FNSR, only to see that it wasn't worth waiting in line to actually race by that point.

Nothing else makes sence. Running this new meth setup I was runing 3psi more, 3-4 lb/min more airflow, significantly better AFR (11.8-12) but ran .1/.3 seconds slower then last time I was out.

I agree with the bike comments. I was there from the start of the FNSR and I was still 3 cars back waiting for my second run when they were letting the bikes go for their third run. Why dont they just make them line up like we have to? I dont think I'll be going back out for the FNSR's anymore.

I would say that the bikes made around seven to eight runs compared to two to three that the cars made.

Plus there was 80% more cars then bikes.

Oh, absolutely, I agree that they have made vast improvements. And yes, this is meant as constructive criticism. This was my first trip to SRP (other than the rained-out HS drags in June) this year, and I was very impressed. Everything was cleaner, the landscaping was neater, there was less garbage around, etc. SRP is looking much better than before. They've also been taking our advice, but let's hope they continue to do so.

Just a thought... maybe they should talk to the local police dept's to see about getting more cops to come out to FNSR in the future. There are enough little faggoty punks around that the extra cops would be useful.

You're right, and it's common practice at every track I've been to that they allow the bikes to all run together and hold the cars back for a while. However, they don't let the bikes run twice for every one time the cars run.

I saw a lot of bikes last night that didn't have a clue on how to stage.
A bunch of them kept deep staging, and having to back up. So just because you have a bike this doesn't make you a Pro Racer.

It just needs to be fair. Thats all I'm saying.

Me and about 6 other Mustangs from the club turned out. I was impressed with how organized it was and I really appreciated the 'talk' beforehand. I thought that was great!

I agree about the bikes. That was a bunch of crap. I hope our opinions will be considered so that is improved. We only did about 2 runs. I was excited to get my time slip because I have never known how I have run out there. heh I guess I'm slow...I only did a 16 sec @ 90 on the first run. The second run I wasn't sure because as soon as I went to that little booth that punk kid musta been drinking too much because he didn't know who was who....I was annoyed by that!

I have a question regarding my Mustang but I'll post that in the appropriate forum. It has to do with power to my wheels.

All in all, everyone in my group had a great time. We had my GT, an older 5.0, Cobra R, Mystic Cobra and a newer Mach. Another friend of ours brough his Cobra but didn't race.

The bikes were a serious problem last night. While Russ and I were in the stands I timed the bike races...5-7 minutes between laps for the bike guys...

I understand that the bike guys run fast and maybe they should get some more runs, but it needs to be reasonable. Most cars out there race once an hour during busy times...so why not make the bikes wait 30 minutes and run the cars??

I thank all of you for your input and I have been working diligently to put the bikes vs cars matter to rest I have been using a system of every 40 cars! 2 cars per lane 10 lanes I go up then down on the second time I go up I send all the bikes. You all have to understand that I try to be fare to everyone I want to see you all make the amount of runs that you want to make but on a night where I have 400+ cars tech in and 20-40 of theme are bikes. I have to make sure and keep both of you bikes and cars happy! I do my best but I think next week I'll try and run the bikes every 4th pass i make through staging! You do have to admit I've made vast improvement from theme just going when they fell like it! Anyway like I said thanks for your input and I am going to try to make these changes to make it more enjoyable for both parties! Also how was the back of staging as far as people parking was it better or worse? I put people to walk up and down back there to try and keep people from clogging the lanes and Id like to know how well it worked.

Actually, the problem was me...the driver. A race is just as good as it's driver and last night I really sucked. I have never run lights before and haven't raced since last year. I got some good suggestions (thanks Brian!) for next time. I plan to race it again next month with the lights and in the meantime (hoping) to get some practice in.

i understand what your saying however, i think bikes need to sit in line just like the rest of us...they shouldn`t be treated special just because they have bikes. they pay the same amount we do. why should they run more? just my opinion

One thing I noticed that you weren't doing is to send 4 in a row from the outside lanes (lane 1 and 10). The reason that you should be doing that is that otherwise you're sending more cars from the middle and not as many from the outside 2 lanes, and what Scott just described will happen.

I send the same amount of cars out of every lane 2 cars from each lane 1-10! It makes it even all across the board! We run theme as fast as we can! The sad but true truth of this game is hurry up and wait there's a lot of cars and we run theme thur as fast as we can it just takes time!

I would recomend running mutlple sets of cars from each line before going to the next line. ASNW runs 3 lines for autocross, and it is alot quicker, effecient and convenient to run an entire line at a time. However I do understand this wouldn't due to the huge volume, so I would say run 10 cars from each line, maybe halfway between run the bikes....

1 everyone stays in there car ready to race
2 has a car to race
3 make sure there race is behind theme ready to go at the same time
4 learn to run with the tree
5 get off there phones
6 didn't bs with there buddies instead of paying attention to me


The time that it is taking in the lanes is driver error! Not saying people in this form because you all know the routine its the "I just watched the fast and the furious lets go race" and for those people I can't do nothing about except yell at theme and try to get theme to pay attention!

If you pull the same number of cars per lane then your outside lanes are moving half as fast as the inside lanes, unless you go back to your original starting lane everytime.

My sequence is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 walk all the way back to 1 and do it all over again when I get to lane 10 for the second time I run all of the bikes. Now what I'm going to do is run 4 cars per lane and on the 4th pass through staging I'm going to run all of the bikes that way ill run plenty of cars before I run the bikes!
