Motor and Tranny are in

Well got the motor and transmission back in the car. None of the wiring harness and nitrous stuff is plugged in yet so it looks like kind of a mess but it is going to be a cluster under the hood. Also got the gauges, nitrous bottles and methanol pump mounted as well. Here are some pics.

Where are the start up vids at slacker? :D

Nice that the tranny finally came in. Would have tried to stop by but was still messing with painting a door for the TA. Had our clearcoat on and noticed junk in the clearcoat so sanded it down and started spraying again and as soon as we hit the plastic we found out where all that junk on the first pass of clearcoat came from. :(

Is that the woman's new hot rod in the background of the second pic? ;)

Well a couple birds came in the shop and we spent 2 hours trying to get them out of the shop lol so thats what delayed the start up vids. I wish that firebird in the background was mine. Thats a project that Joss and Dave are doing for their boss. Its a 67 Firebird Convertable that they are putting a iron 5.7 LSx in and spraying a little nitrous to it. As long as we don't have another major issue my car I think we should have a start up video next weekend for sure.

You can say that again I can't wait to see it start and actully drive I am looking forward too boosting around town. Once I get the car running I may have to go do some crotchrocket hunting lol

IIRC they are truck manifolds. Only downside is the A/C has to be removed, which knowing him, he would have done anyway I am sure for weight reduction. :D

I've thought about taking the AC out of my car since I never use it, but I think that would kinda take away from its grandma-ish-ness. It's my excuse when an N/A 2.0 liter beats me. "Oh yeah, well I have A/C AND power steering!" lol

That is a pretty good eye JET and as far as the manifolds from what I have read on ls1tech they are actully just as good and sometimes even better than custom turbo headers cause of how well they keep the heat in. Like SOM said though the downside is getting rid of the A/C which I would have actully kept if I could have unlike ryfly05 I would like to walk up to someone after smoking there ass and saying it was kinda nice being nice and cool on my 9 second pass lol instead of using it as an excuse lol JK. I will talk to my friend and see what the plans are this weekend as far as having people up to watch start up. I know he doesn't like to have alot of people up there if the boss is in town cause he stops by sometimes and he just doesn't like to have a bunch of people being there.
