And who can't wait to run in AHRA? Whats that again? Oh that thing that barely exists. Ok got it.
"Moe vows to fight back legally to clear his name and seek damages, adding he has some lingering support from the racing community."
Lingering like they forgot a goat that is still roaming free inside the wire.

That was interesting....I hope that they dont close down SRP! We should have a "service project" there... ya know, like a lot of us should volunteer to go to SRP and help out around the place- plant flowers maybe, clean up, clean the track, clean the stands/around the stands, or whatever can be done. But something needs to be done! Let me know what you think, please, because I really like going there and wish it were a better place! I really want to get this going, let me know!

Unless that service project had a couple hundred thousand dollar budget and some big equipment, dont think its gonna happen. Improvements that need to be made can be found in Reid's old post (will look in a second). ALthough others consist of a concrete launch pad and getting the stands away from the track to a NHRA legal limit. Those are the only improvements that will make the track worth anything in the big scheme of things that everyone thinks they want to be a part of. I'd be good with safety and a cheap local place to race.

Im sure the bathrooms can be cleaned and the building painted, the garbage picked up from the "grassy" areas and whatnot, there could be more grass in the "grassy" areas all that fluffy dirt could not be so fluffy and dry (like, put grass there or gravel)- actual designated parking areas that have like paint that clearly mark where you're supposed to go and park. We dont need to do the big stuff- thats up to the owners to realize it needs to be done and take care of it. But there are things that we can do as people who want to go to a nicer-than-goat-wandering-trash-covered race track. If there were enough people willing to help and cooperate, I would be willing to do what I could to get things together to make it all work out- and believe me, we could really make a difference! It probably wouldnt be that big of a difference compared to replacing the track itself, but big enough to make more people feel welcomed.

You set it up and I'll make it an offical volunteer event out of it sponsered by Eastern. Well actually I'll pass it on to my old office but it could happen.

Yeah, Orville says he has done nothing wrong and haven't mis-lead the investors but fails to provide any sort of documentation about ANY financial records. Businesses are required to have records of their finances and where all the profits go. If he was innocent he would have given them up in a second and all the questions and complaints could be answered. Just too bad the chance of it shutting down is still there since he's been ripping everyone off for so long now. The only reason he may fight is to keep his ass out of jail, not to clear his name. I hate rich business men who think they can buy their way out of every situation and most the time can...

I just find it interesting that now he is gone the track (at least on Friday nights) has been improved A LOT (as far as organization for racing). And also the fact that the fee for participating on Friday nights has gone down as well.
For 3 years I have occasionally gone out there once or twice a season. Every year, except this one, the price has been jacked up and lights were NEVER run. I remember the first year I went it was very unorganized and just seemed like a free for all type thing. I was very much an amature and had no clue what was going on.

I'd definetely be up for this. You should start a thread on here about it and look for interest. Once you gather a good number of people, you can take it and go further.
