Hey have a ? for you do you have a rear end jig and if so what is your rate so do a back brace on a 9" thats Jason.
Man, i need to check this thread more often! Kirk Rodgers at Valley Machine has a jig for the Ford 9 that i can borrow. You most definitely want to do the back brace before final shortening since it warps the hell out of those things! Im half tempted to wrap a chain around the housing and use a porta power to pre-bend the housing first to offset the bending effect happens by welding the brace on.
Its a hell of a lot tougher of a job than it looks to keep em straight. Lemme know if you still need it done since its been a week since you posted this. LOL 999-4344
