Dude I need to get those parts from you and since you wont use your phone and I'm sick of wasting trips up there, I'm trying across the net. So would you let me know on here or on Phase Change when I can get my stuff.

What other parts did you buy from trav? These aren't the parts from the duster are they?

Yep, paid a year ago and for whatever factors, nothing ever got done. Not having the driveshaft has basically cost me the last half of summer driving and breaking in the car.

Reid, if you read this....is Travis' Duster still out at your shop in Airway Height's or has Travis came and picked the car up yet?

I'll try to get ahold of Travis tomorrow and find out what is going on.... I know he has been out at the lake after work for the past few weeks.??If it comes down to giving a hand removing everything, I'll give a hand. Sorry to hear you are having so much trouble getting your parts Beau.

Thanks Brain. I've talked to Reid, and the duster is at his (Travs) house.

I think what beau is saying is he's tired of trying to show up and get his parts. Brian see if you can get ahold of travis, if its just a hand i can make time in order to get him rolling as well.

Yea I know what Beau was saying. But it sounds like that is the only way he is going to be able to get ahold of Travis. I haven't received a call back yet either.

Yeah thats exactly it. I lost the window of working on the car in Dans shop and now have it just sitting in Turbo Z's alley parking lot for way too long when I told him a couple of days because thats what I was told.

Shitty weather again today so I might as well go get dinner at Panda Express and try again...

Thanks guys.

what are you missing?

Driveshaft, is the big one. Anyone have a keyless yoke for a 727?
It's going to be interesting fitting it in. Some pretty good hacking so I will have to grind and weld extensions/sleeves, and maybe go to a fuel cell beacause of the clearance of the springs/frame/tank. Oh and get some wheels with like 12 inches of backspacing. That rear end was chopped more than I remembered (ya know when I heard the specs a year ago and bought it...)

At least you got your stuff, you can make it work. LIVE and LEARN

The yoke wasn't with the driveshaft? He was using 15x12 wheels I think, deep dish.

No ds or yoke, but I can use my old ds if I find the right yoke. 'Everyone' knew that it was the one part I have been needing for months now.

Thanks for all the shit talking........I wish I knew about this site a long time ago!

Beau.....

You paid for the parts a year ago but said you were in no hurry to get them and did not have a place for them so I kept them with the car!! A couple of months ago you started asking about getting them and I told you I had to wait for Reid to get th parts to my house, remember?!?! So Reid brings the parts to my house on a thursday(thats when you showed up) and I told you to come back on friday and get the parts and you dont show up......

I am sorry I dont sit around like you and have all the time in the world to bitch!! You say you cant break in your ride or tune it with out a driveshaft, so go spend $150 and fucking have one made!! That seems like a better plan than just bitching about it for two months!!

And as far a hacking you have it way wrong bud!! I cut the square tubing off right at the frame rails like I said I would. All you need to do is clean up the cuts and weld in a 1/4 inch plate on the inside of both frame rails on the front and back then weld the parts I gave you in place, not very hard to do. The rearend was narrowed a whole 7 inches!!!WOW. I ran a 15 x 12 inch wheel with a 5 inch back spacing and that is what I told you-you were going to need. If you had a wheel with 12 inches of backspacing that would mean that the rearend would be much longer than stock and not narrowed!

You were NEVER in a big hurry for these parts and always told me not to worry about it but then you come on the net and make me out to be the bad guy that fucked you on some parts. I am sure now that you have them you will still find a reason not to get your car running or it will take you another 3 years to install them anyway. I sold you alot of nice parts for about half of what I had into them, It's to bad it had to come down to this but I couldnt stand reading a one sided story. See you around.

Travis.

Nope I was betting you'd get around to reading this. I still have total confidence in your work, and tried to be careful about not talking too much shit about that. This whole thing just ended up bitching about our deal as a bit of a release of the car not treating me to an easy build. I never was in a hurry and when I was it didnt work out. You told me it wouldnt come out all purdy but seeing it just made it real. I bought the stuff a year ago before I was ever really tearing into the car so now I just know whats in store. Stuff like the wheel spacing didnt matter when I wasnt dealing with it at the time. Looking like I'll be having to run a fuel cell is not what I was prepared for though.
Honestly the driveshaft pissed me off because for so long its the easiest little thing that kept on getting overlooked. You've had the one that fits and I thought we had it included in the deal is why I didnt just have one made. Saving myself another $150. No one ever being able to get ahold of you sucks though and I'm not the only one who's said that. Long damn drive for me to find out you arent home because I know its worthless trying to call.
Anyone that I've talked to Ive been real careful to let them know that its the whole car, not just our deal thats got me down on the thing.
No permenant hard feelings here, just pissed off at little stuff. The car wouldnt be as far as it is even not running without the stuff you've helped me out with.
In fact I've said a couple times that no matter how frustrated I get it all goes away cause you're so god damn nice once we finally talk!

We all know that no one was purposely screwing anyone in this deal and we have all known each other for years and have helped work on each other's cars. Travis has been out at the lake a lot this summer living it up with his new boat which sounds like an absolute blast, plus he's trying to buy a house which some of us have passed out at a few times (me more than anyone, lol). Beau had some problems getting ahold of Travis since he has been busy and Beau was just getting irritated at not just Travis, but his car not coming together like planned which is how it goes most all the time. I don't think any of this was flaming or saying Travis is a bad guy to deal with. The parts Beau recieved are top notch parts (I watched them get put in) and got a killer deal on everything. Nothing is going to look like new after it has been used a little and then cut out of the car, a die grinder, some elbow grease and rattle can paint will make them look like new again. Besides....the good stuff is on the inside...badass axles, c-elims, spool and gears. It will be cool to see a pro-street looking dart rolling around town! Anyway, Beau, I'll hit ya up and Travis....you going to be around this weekend, I was going to swing up and have a couple beers possibly. Talk at ya all later.
