Fastlane is located at 6407 n perry..Its pretty much a hobby shop and we are all willing to help out anybody that needs help..Turbo,Nitrous,Blowers,Rebuilds,Tig welding, mandrel bends,Etc
We are not against honda's,vw,dodges.chevy, yada yada yada...we dont like the attitudes that come with them tho..We all have and race 1/4 mile street cars,If i dont know how to fix or make it i have friends that do..We stock silicone connectors, turbo parts,t-bolt clamps, race fuel,79-93 fox bodied mustang parts are our favorites!! I have sponsored toooo many cars and do not need anymore!! LOL..But always willing to help out a fellow racer in the time of need..
Now for all your tuning specific needs i recommend Brian @ shelly's dyno and repair. brian has been at this as long as all of us and is very helpfull when it comes to cars..he has helped me with alot of my turbo tuning's..that is all for now. Chris @ Fastlane Motorsports 218-6947 if i dont answer leave a message.

I suppose I can give him credit as well, he saved my ass when I cross threaded an oil feed line to my turbo on my aluminum block. He also did my intercooler piping, which turned out nice.

I guess this thread is worthy of my first post. Chris is an excellent craftsman when it comes to cars. Maybe one of these days I will get my new project out where everyone can see his tig skills.

I already have LSD, but yes, 2-Step + 5500RPM's will do quite nicely. I'm thinking Bikirom is going to by tuning device of choice here soon.

Still alive I suppose. No baby yet, you will know for sure, still have about 4 weeks to go. The S-10 is on, just not on schedule. I'll have the heads back tomorrow, and that completes a fresh motor! something I really wasnt planning on but it happened. SO, now comes the task of sliding that puppy in there, making some motor mounts and hauling ass! I better be racing this thing soon damn it! I've been by your shop a handful of times, but we never seem to line up. Anyway, I will try to stop in soon. Maybe you have some ideas for motor mounts eh.

My 96 gsx. I got the Sufuro 150psi pump back from warrenty today. I want to find a local place that sells 1 gallon tanks and tank floats with a little LED that will turn on when the tank is getting low... Do you know of a place in Spokane that sells them reasonably? Spokane Pump? Shellys?

Yes sir.**I called everyone.**Hot rod shops, small engine shops, performance shops.**No one sells Alchy approved containers.**Looks like I'm going to have to buy it online.

WTF is wrong with methenal? It will alow me to run pump gas like it was C12 & will give off more oxygen durning combustion.

seems like this thread was revived...

anyhoo...it sparked a good thought for me...a coworker is putting a 2JZGTE in his 85 Supra, says he can't find aluminum piping to make up his own intercooler piping. I dunno if he just hasn't tried looking or what but you pretty well with aluminum intercooler piping?

BlackMagic
06-15-2008, 09:03 PM
You can find aluminum piping, but its really expensive. I think that Burns Stainless charges about $80 for a 3 inch U-bend.

TurboNuts
06-16-2008, 12:43 AM
Get on e-bay and buy a bulk universal aluminum piping kit cut and weld it to your needs..I can weld it for you
Thats the cheapest route i have found.

i'll tell him that...i think he wants to weld it himself but dont think he's done aluminum before and it doest sound cheap to play with

Jetblack

Aluminum is completely different to weld than steel. With wire feed you have to go so fast, you won't believe it. TIG is the best way to go! TIGging overhead is sorta not good so to do a whole cage I think you would really need flexibility in how it goes in the car.

I once tried stick welding aluminum. Wow was that hard. Not enough heat and you just get sticking. Ever-so-slightly too much and you get a sort of all-at-once thing with the stick itself. One second you have a coated aluminum stick and the next, you have aluminum oxide, in the air. [POOF]

[POOF] is not recommended.

welding aluminum take time and practice. may want to leave that to some one that dose it a lot.
