I don't know if the eclipse will need a roll cage this year but I would like to get one very soon. The problem is I'm on a very tight budget with this car. Does anyone know where I can go that will be reasonably priced? Thanks in advance.

Well how fast is your car and what are looking to spend on a roll bar or cage? The price will just up from CM or you can just run MS do you want a custom cage or a prefab one a lot of thing to look at my car im doing a 25.5 cage it is good for 7.50 and 3600lbs so it is all what you want?

Installed your looking in the range of $1000.00 for a mild steel cage. Are you looking to go 9.99 or faster? If not, you'll save some money just getting a cage. I have been dealing with a good guy over at Art Morrison Ent. Let me know how fast you want to go and Ill get you some prices.

Check this out, I know some guys out of Tri Cities running these cages in their 240's. Fitment isn't perfect, but any competent welder can make it look good.

It will be 10.0 or slower. I think mild steel will be fine.

Those seem to have good prices as long as shipping doesn't kill you.

Shawn does great work. He did my exhaust and ic piping. Right now I can't afford what he wants to build the cage.

As long as you have an unaltered firewall and floorboard, yes, you're good to go.

My bad your right but you can not go over 135mph

A roll bar is required in any convertible running 13.49 seconds or quicker in the quarter mile, and in other cars beginning at 11.49. The roll bar is accepted in vehicles running as quick as 10.00 second e.t., provided the stock firewall and floorboard is intact, other than for installation of wheel tubs. The rollbar must be constructed of minimum 1 ¾ inch o.d. x .118 inch wall mild steel tubing, or 1 ¾ x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:

If the floor and/or firewall has been modified, then a full roll cage is required beginning at a 10.99 e.t. A full roll cage is required in any vehicle running 9.99 seconds or quicker, and any vehicle running 135 mph or faster (regardless of e.t.). The roll cage must be constructed of minimum 1 5/8 o.d.x .118 mild steel tubing, or 1 5/8 x .083 chrome moly tubing, and must conform to the following diagram:

The roll cage of any vehicle running 9.99 or quicker, or 135 mph or faster, must also be certified by NHRA every 3 years, and have a serialized sticker affixed prior to participation.

Not stepping on no one hate to see you get turn away at the track it is going to be a tight ship a lot on the line with the Ins.
