I'd like to have the cage snake under the dash. Is there any kits sold that anyone has used that can be finish fit and welded in, or is a custom cage a better way to go?

I guess I'll be gutting the interior.

Are you putting a cage in to comply with rules? stiffen the car up?

How quick do you plan to go in the 1/4? do you want to race an outlaw class eventually?

I have a S@W cage in my blackbird and while i have always had good luck with their stuff in the past, my cage wont pass tech because of the S-shaped bend in the A-pillar bar.
Mine doesnt go thru the dashtop and the way they bent it will never pass tech. It pissed me off after all that work to install it that its not legal. The tech guys are right in the fact that it can buckle fairly easy in a rollover so now i have to put it thru the dashtop.
I have done Competition Engineering rollcages and they are always spot on with the bends, fitment and legality.
As far as me doing any cagework, its gonna have to wait till later in the fall or winter cuz all the regular maintenence on street rods this summer has put me WAY behind on my big projects so i gotta get caught up first! LOL
