Would you use the same techiques troubleshooting a super charger as you would a turbo system?

I have a friend at work who has a 2000 Pontiac GTP that she says has lost power, she took it to the stealership and all she remembers is that they said she needed some sort of gasket. LOL

Any pointers would be cool.

Seeing as I own the exact same car, I could probly help. But I need more info. More than likely I'd have to look at it.

The intake gaskets are known to go out them from gm's "death-cool" but the problem is mainly around the coolant ports not so much the actual intake runners. I replaced mine with gm's new gaskets which are aluminum not plastic. I have an old thread on here about it w/ pics.

There is a boost bypass valve (bbv) on the s/c with a bunch of vacuum lines going to it. Make sure they are all connected, otherwise it will limit boost to about 4 or less psi.

Edit- fwiw, if its something major, which its probly not, I can fix it for her for a good price.
