are you just sell the turbo and are you parting out your car?

I know of two of us. 89/00/TA has a front mount t76 running mid 10s at 15psi and I have a rear mount gt67 running 9psi high 11s. the issue your going to run into is your n/a setup would need significant changes to make a turbo work. the 4.11 gears would need to be changed to 3.42 or higher. your cam makes great power n/a but a turbo cam would need to be changed to get the most out of your setup. If your eng is not forged then you would be limited to 8psi or take the chance on ring gland failure(ask me how I know).

Most kits will cost alot more than 3k. you could build one yourself takes alot of leg work to piece it together. my experience is you will spend at least 6k to go forced induction.

good luck keep us posted.

When piecing it all together glancing through it looks cheap but than there is always all the little extras you will end up having to buy you never really think of. Like Smoke20 mentioned you're only going to be able to run so much boost with the stock block and will need a cam change. With the 4.10 gears you will be moving through the gears so fast they would be useless. Will need a new K-member to clear up a little room under the hood for piping than the guages, tuning, blah blah blah. You get the picture. :D

I think on LS1tech in the boosted section someone did a list of the basic breakdown of parts to piece one together just to get started and has listed the required and recommended pieces and that. Want to say just from that they came in around $4k on pieces when throwing in all the recommended components. Think there was also another post asking people how much they spent on their setup and it would range anywhere from $5k - $30k when including all pieces like the tranny/clutch/TC and rear end.

Maybe just spray a 150 shot (or more) with a monster head/cam setup and see if that can push you into the high 10's. :D

SOMTA hit it right on the head I was hoping to only spend 2-3k on my setup and I would guess I am probably into it atleast 4500 if not more. There is alot more things involved in the setup than just the turbo, piping and all the major stuff. It is kind of expensive but if I was you I would look at the prochargers. They are pretty much a bolt on kit and you don't have to hack your car apart. If I had to do it over again thats probably what I would do. Also SMOKE is correct too your current N/A setup will need major changes but I will tell you one thing right now I had a similar N/A setup w/nitrous as you before I went with the turbo setup and I would take the turbo setup 100 to 1 its amazing that you can have a baby cam, pretty much stock heads and be able to drive around town and it be just like driving a stock car until you step into it and the turbo spools.

i understand what youz all sayin..maybe i should just leave it alone for now since it does run pretty good and i have only driven it 300 miles since i aquired it. if i can get it to hoook i think its capable of 11.60-70's which is cool cause its still passes smog without any trouble. i thought about a procharger but thats still alot of dough.. will have around 7000.00 in november to do with as i please.. as for engine mods i'm not sure if anything was done internally. was told its a stage3 slp car cant verify. but dont stock motors w/procharger/turbo kits end up running about where i am now??? maybe i will just get a direct port kit and call it goood...
thanks :):):):)
bowtiy..
p.s. i would like to check out one of your turbo kits sometime
