Most of you know my eclipse had some major issues at the track. I was at around 8,000rpm's in 2nd and pushed the wrong shift button. Oops! I downshifted to 1st gear which caused the motor to turn about 14,000rpm's. Now #2 cyl. has 90% leakdown to the crankcase.
Anyways, I'm getting ready drop another motor in but would like to degree the cams. These were used on the last build and they sure didn't pull up top where they should perform the best. They are Brian Crower 288's. Here are the specs.
ADV DURATION DUR @ .050" LIFT (inches) LIFT (mm)
288°/288° 222°/222° .468"/.468" 11.87/11.87
After doing research on Brian Crower cams it seams they are usaully off and its highly recommended to have them degreed while the engine is out. Can someone enlighten me how this is done? Better yet, If someone can help me with this I'll by the beer. Thanks

You'll need a cam degree kit (degree wheel, pointer, piston stop, dial indicator) and your cam card.
Its not a very complicated procedure, but it may be a bit hard to explain on the forum. Get my number from Russ and give me a call.

I already had a spare. I'm going to run a stock motor with upgraded springs and cams. I want to see how the stock block likes nitrous. Good times!
