My brother in law picked one up earlier this year and loves it over his Acura TL which is a nice friggin ride.

Just out of curiosity, why a G35?

G35's sound pretty sweet from the factory too.

Before I got my Z06 I was thinking about doing a twin turbo G35 but I ended up deciding against it.

They are sweet though, way better than 350Z's IMO.

I've always found em to be classy. Subtle, yet killer lines. Decent performance and tons of luxury. I'm wanting this as a daily, not race car. Was looking into TT as well for like the last year but the cost is rediculous... Might consider sc like marble did but for now most mods are going to be cosmetic.

Well I wanted a sports car, no back seat or the extra weight...I ripped my leather out LOL

G's are nice for crusing around since they have a back seat, leather and some luxury interior. The room in the truck is much better then the storage space I have in my hatch too...

I just personally like how they look a lot better.

It's a lot nicer to say you have an Infiniti than a Nissan. G35 is way more of a hoe getter, doesn't have the fugly door handles and ricer gauge cluster either.

Again this is just my opinion. But I'm willing to bet 9 out of 10 people would pick the G35 over a 350Z too. As for the performance difference, it's nothing a couple pounds of boost wouldn't solve.

Yep, I agree the G35 is alot better looking. I was just curious as to why a G35 over any other car.

Like I mentioned before (but didnt have the patience to expand upon typing via blackberry), its just a car Ive loved for a couple years now for many varying reasons. I wanted something more subtle than a full on sportscar yet aggressive, something that hadnt been overdone, something RWD, something with shitloads of technology (I like to have my balls massaged when I drive), something with more than 4 cylinders, and something I could pick up without shellin over 20k initially.

Current plan is to find a decent pearl white 6spd with black int, drop it a bit on a set of black/charcoal deep-ass 19's, tint the hell out of it, and run a decent sounding cat-back *I LOVE the sound of these things with exhaust.

SC/turbo to be announced depending on funding situation.

Well I have a fiance so the "hoe" factor isnt really a selling point LOL
I like both cars. I have considered getting a G35 for a DD a few times but I drive the pass enough to need either AWD or an SUV with 4 wheel action. I tend to need to carry gear for shows in my DD so thats why Im thinking the Lexus GX.

Check out my350z.com though, tons of G's on there and some great mod info.

It would have been a lot cooler if you would have just posted pics of the car when you got it.

Instead of telling everyone you're going to test drive.

I posted more as a feeler to see if anyone had any valuable advice in regards to the car specifically before diving in.

Man I will really hate you if you get one. I've always loved those things especially with some nice rims. Is the new G37 out of your price range? I would look into one of those too. And I agree that those motors sound really good, even stock.

Id love a G37, but cant justify losing a nut for one...

Nice! Manual I assume?

Ninja_Bear

Negative, Auto with manual mode. I was originally bent on a white one, but I stuck with the silver for a couple reasons:
-White ones only came with gray or beige interiors.
-Black is like the hardest color to keep clean and Im fucking OCD with dust.
-the pearl in the silver shows the car's lines off better
-silver is a bit more subtle (goal with this car is to be semi-low key)

On the plus side it is the sport model so it comes with the sport tuned suspension and bigger brakes.

So far Im in love, thing handles turns like its on rails, body roll is non-existent at pretty much any speed, thing hooks up and launches like a mofo, its got one of the coolest exhaust tones Ive ever heard for a stock import, and the cockpit has like... every amenity known to god.

Fuck the Supra. :hide:

Yeah... I drove by the kid's place the other day just to see if the car was sitting out front and it looks like he's already managed to totally fuck the front bumper, headlights, and side trim up.

I cried a little. When I sold that car it was fucking immaculate. :(

Out of curiousity: did it sound like it was still open downpipe?
