So the Corolla I have has a seat rail bolt that pulled out of the floor. I was thinking I or a friend could weld it up...but thnkin some it may be better to have a "professional" who does this kind of stuff a lot do it. Especially if it may get scrutinized for NHRA in the future.
I wasn't sure who here feels comfortable doing a repair like this.

I would say just plate the top and bottom with some 1/8 plate and you should be good to go.

I agree take the seat out get some 1/8" cut it you could weld that to the floor then drill your hole and run a bolt tho it.

Damn beer cans!!!! Use a fender washer on each side and bolt that thing back in... Why would NHRA ever care what was done to your seets in a beer can....

I've thought of plating it but didn't want to raise the seat any
why not just get it as flush as you can, weld the breaks, and weld a plate underneath? It'd be like a welded on washer and still provide support.. just a suggestion
