I never understood how driving a car off a lot for a day can provide the reliability rating for a car that is brand new and in some cases not even on the show room floors yet.

They always praise Toyota... now the funny thing is go look at a Pontiac Vibe ratings and see how low they are, than go look at a Toyota Matrix and see how high they are. Same car but different results. Think the same can be said for the Malibu and G6.

Same car...different quality standards. Trust me on this one ;)

Toyota has said for years that although the corolla/prizm were the same cars, Chevy never held quality standards anywhere near what Toyota did with the Corolla.

Point in hand, my wifes Prizm the drivers door hinges sag...we have NEVER seen that generation Corolla have that problem. When I did the motor swap I found a lot of stuff that I thought would be the same as Corolla but Chevy had "re-engineered".

Matrix and Vibe are closer to being exact same, but built to different standards. I've noticed more interior "noises" that I haven't noticed in Matrix's.

BTW...the problems with Camry V6 and Tundra V8 that they mention were issues that Toyota actively recalled and offered choices to the customer. What other car manufacturer does that?
