View Full Version : Bought Jdm, Rhd
Well now i'm starting a new thread, I bought a conversion RHD. I know its not authentic, but its done well enough you can hardly tell. Red, B16, carbon fiber duck bill, Perfect condition, paint is 3 months old, By far the nicest car i've owned. tokico struts and springs and white rims. I know everyone hates me for saying i'll keep a car then selling it. But atleast you cant say i've been trading crap cars this time. I plan on keeping her and showing it because its definatly a looker.

Looks good, really clean. Any plans/goals for next year?
Well it was gutted by previous owner but i got all of the pannels seats and carpet from him, so thats going back in, I'm also going to install a BIG and BAD alarm in this thing. I'm also going to complete the little things like switching the power door lock switch to the driver side, putting on a jdm left side mirror because the usdm mirror doesnt tilt enough to see out of it from the other side. (confusing to explain) I'm also going to put the hatch and gas filler release on the the driver side (still usdm) reinstalling the heater (even though it will never be in the snow) and definatly going with a nice looking header to finish cleaning up the engine bay. Thinking about building a motor for it on the side most likely will be turbo in the end, but next year it'll still be prety much the same with minor changes, I plan on showing the car, nothing too wild just want to go for a clean jdm replica.

I was going to say the same, get some other rims. Looks nice though=)
What does everyone think of some white gt3's on it? eBay Motors: 15X7 ROTA GT3 RIM 4X100 WHEELS 40MM ROYAL WHITE COLOR (item 250293890364 end time Jan-09-09 10:18:57 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/15X7-ROTA-GT3-RIM-4X100-WHEELS-40MM-ROYAL-WHITE-COLOR_W0QQitemZ250293890364QQcmdZViewItem)
I think it'd look much better with them. It set me back the audi, which i paid 5900 for. So I'd consider it a fairly well bought car. 5900 for a rhd conversion b16 hatch..

Start a trend...be the first person to put HRE's on a Civic
I would, but they dont make them small enough, I dont want to go bigger than 17's on it. I love hre styling, and i could live with the price for the quality, but 18's would look even worse than whats on there.

Very nice...sounds like a pretty good deal.
I'd like to think so. Its cleaner than the pictures show actually.

Yeah they do, HRE's are custom made for any application....if you have the cash LOL
Stay away from knock offs, they are cheap for a reason. Gram Lights would look nice or some SSR's....

so how do you plan to fix the heater??? from what i heard from andy it is not an easy task because of the way they did the conversion.
Well currently I'm thinking of saying screw the heater.. Its not going to be driven in the snow and i really never get cold so it probably wont bother me much. Yeah.. it was fun to hear after buying the car that only half of the firewall was done from andy locket (black hatch) then when i got to thinking it made sense why the heater wasnt installed.
When i bought the car andrew was saying it just needed to be put in not that it didnt fit because of the conversion but its not like it would have made me not trade for it. I am missing my heated leather but thats about it.

I just wanted to set the record straight.only half of the fire wall was cut but thats all you have to do that has nothing to do with the heater install. The only thing wrong with the conversion is they used the usdm wiring harness and just extended it instead of getting a jdm one.All you have to do is wire it in to the us harness or do what i was going to do get a jdm harness and plug it all in i even bought the jdm climate control.I gave you everything to do it.I just wanted to set it straight i didnt know a bunch of stuff i wasnt telling you.
