Not much happening in the forums these days and I would rather just show up with a completed car but here are a few teaser pics to show that not everybody's projects are on complete hold.

Oh, it's coming along nicely. Almost finished with the trany tunnel. Head to the back of the car to mount the bumper and attach the parachute anchor. Get all that done and start hanging the rest of the fiberglass. Slowly but surely...

Its been all that specialized work that even Im in the way for so far. Another day or two of sheetmetal work and then we get to meddle with the fuel system. All after a holiday break of course.
Geeze fiberglass on a 68 Dart just seems so wrong :)

Brandon: I know of a 71 shell that needs a 340, give ya a case of beer for yours. If I remember right thats twice what you paid for it!
Will let yall know when we toss it back on the lift.
Ive got a heck of a list of people who have made this thing possible and really want to thank everyone for all the work, good deals and parking spots lol.

lol, yeah I handed custody of the 340 over to my dad (for now) just bein I sold the duster (it didnt deserve that motor anyways) and all. However, I am runnin the old man over the coals pretty hard to strap a couple 60+mm turbos on her.
Hopefully that will be enough to take care of a certain little 280z running around here...

Yeah, I think we're lookin' at about 2500# with me in the car ready to run (plus or minus 100# or so). I believe that, all together, the fiberglass for the car is somewhere around 75#. Silver R/T, don't know if you were askin me or Beau about the trany/rear but I'll be running the "Liberty" clutchless transmission and a Dana 60 rear.

LMAO, uh huh! If I cut out sleeping and eating and working, I should be able to make it for that... I think Beau's a little closer than mine is. Sounds like there's already a little group heading down for that. Hey Beau, think yours will be done for Vegas...?

"BBQ frozen, I like Jager. That is all..."
Hey Beau... Look Familiar???
sefus
12-22-2008, 10:56 AM
I know nothing.
Actually the propane being frozen really pissed me off. I had some chicken drumettes all spiced and ready and had to bake em for an hour in the oven which gave me maybe too much time for jager.

BTW, the car is looking good Beau!!! Cant wait to see it all done and driving!
Hey Dan! How ya been? Ya I havent been doing side jobs as much like I used to, get burnt out on it! Brandons dad has been a great customer but pretty much just been doing his stuff. Also the price of materials latly has been driving people away from doing the job the right way, they just want a cheap-o quick job wich I wont do.
Hopefully we can get something worked out on your buick in the spring time or something! Atleast get all the body done and in first prime, then it can sit and do whatever shrinking it may. A lot eaiser on the wallet to do it in steps as well.
Later buddy,
Travis

Hey Travis, yeah its getting there. I got burnt out on it for a year or two but am glad to see the progress again. If it wasnt for people like Dan, Phil, Ben, Brian and Jesse it would still be just something Billy's wife complains about in their back lot.

Hey Travis, is the transmission that's now in Beau's car a 904 or a 727?
sefus
12-23-2008, 03:05 PM
It is a 727. Ive got a third yoke to try that I picked up the other day so maybe we'll get lucky with this one.
