... and now we'll make sure the engine is assembled to perfection :bigthumbs:. I really like that quartermaster clutch it holds super strong and still allows for easy stop-and-go driving.

Indeed! Kaizenspeed will be putting the motor together so the car can put down some real power! ;)
It is a shame they don't make clear bell housings though. I wanna watch this damn clutch in action. lol. :)

Built to perfection... Perhaps.
...But will it be Eric-proof? :P
talntid
12-31-2008, 11:50 AM
lol. It will be G35 and/or Supra proof ;)

I am sure it will be just like a Supra... 1000hp and runs 12's...... With all that money you are spending, you could have had a Hella fast Mustang that you could actually drive to Seattle and back with no problems and lots of cash in your pocket.

12-31-2008, 02:12 PM
lol. But can I drive it in the rain? :)
Silver R/T
12-31-2008, 02:36 PM
why would you want to drive racecar in the rain?
Hope to see that DSM at the track next year.

It was a weak argument ;)
It'll be out at the track doing what it can :)

lol... Losing isnt so bad when your balls are cradled in heated leather with a Female British Voice telling you where to find the nearest repair shop to tow your buddies Supra-proof DSM.

I want in on the action;)
Theres also another fast evo 8 that will be running next year. It makes 700+ to the wheels. Plus a R20 VW that will run really hard.
It should be a good year for imports!!!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I hope all of you are considering necessary safety equipment to compliment your possible ET and MPH.
I would love to see a group of REALLY fast imports out there EVERY weekend...not just the first one. lol

I am going to do my best to get all the necessary equipment... but since I'm not an expert, I may be there on day 1 missing something, and come back a few weeks later with the rest of the list filled... and who knows... maybe I won't be fast enough to need some of it :P

LOL! I'tll be all Eric'd up unless the Yeti feet slow him down and save the engine :). Has he crank-walked a 6 bolt? If anyone can make an older DSM run all season, it'll be Eric. Or somebody else.

X2 I've never been a fan of any import except supra's, but there were some REALLY impressive turbo 4's last year! Seeing 10's and 11's out of those little things is really cool. Thats a great way to change people's minds about the "typical" ricer.
it is pretty fun driving to the track and watching trailer queens run slower....

My 6bolt in this car died due to oil pump failure. The lack of oil caused the bearings to wear too quickly.

Something that could have easily been prevented had you of had an oil pressure gauge... then again, if you have it, you still have to look at it Eric!!

You will really like that quartermaster. Did you get yours from MAP as well when they had their sale going on? I got to be the gunie for them and found one small flaw but they were quickly fixed. I finally have a little over 500 miles on mine and hope to take it out and run next week in Yak.

Yup, it should be all ready soon! ;)
I got mine from MAP... what are your thoughts on the drivability?

It took a bit of getting used to but otherwise it is great. I am just really happy that I can get my car to shift at over 8k.
