Well I finally got a chance to build my throttle bodies and modify my intake manifolds during my time off for Christmas break.

I will add more info to my site later, but here is a pic of one side.... I will be running a total of four throttle bodies that are 61mm (2.400") each!

http://www.rockyjennings.com/100_3897.JPG

:)

The throttle plates are made from scratch and the fuel injectors in the above pics are just mock ups that I made on the lathe to help mock up the fuel rail holders.

I just need to finish putting on all the parts, plumb and wire it. Then I will calculate out a base map to get it running in the garage. After that, I will just have to wait for a break in the weather to get it back on the dyno and build the fuel and ignition maps.

:)

Might be a little big, but when everything is dialed, in I should easily run mid 10's or quicker without the bottle.

With the bottle, a small shot should easily get into the nines and when/if I can afford to really push it my eventual goal will be at least one 8.99!

Here is a temporary link to some more pics...

I updated this page on my site...

http://www.badbug.com/pantera_efi.htm

I'll continue to updated it as I make progress on the car. I hope to have it running again by the end of the month and then on the dyno as soon after that as weather allows.

Okay, I am even a little bit closer.

Here is a video of me starting it today and free reving to about 8,000 rpms.

I still need to do a little more work before I get some good dyno pulls.

By the way, you can see the snow flakes blowing into the shop!

Finally got a chance this past weekend to strap it down on the dyno and do some more tuning.

Here is a video.... Click here for video (http://www.badbug.com/BB2_Dyno_Pull_6-6-09_5.wmv)

As you can tell, I did my tuning in third gear. (It is a four speed) Also, I did the pull from 4,000 to 7,500rpms.

I have the air fuel ratio where I want it and the timing too. Only problem is that the HP is down from when it had carbs, so first I am going to lengthen the runners and if that doesn't bring it back, I may have gone too big on the diameter! Oh well, once I hook the nitrous back up, I can make up for it!
