Jays positive attitude was infectious. he's got a full plate of ideas, starting with a major overhaul of that track. If the racers leave the ego's and attitudes at home, just come to race they will see a major quality track that is going to get more racers here than ever before. he was humble about how he got a divisional and the et finals at this track. I feel it was because he is so well respected by all the div6 track owners. this guy believes in us, the racers, spokane, and wants this track to succeed. 97 days till the track opens! I think it will be first weekend in may. I feel great.

Haha... I like my nice quiet muffled car. I'm shooting to have it idle at 500-600 this year. I've never understood the need for open headers for bracket racing.

And to clear up the oil diaper issue... it is not a requirement (but is a nice addition) for ET Racing. If you run Super Gas (divisional/national class - 9.90 index), it is required.

i've ran open headers for years, loud, floorpans vibrating, shit bouncing around on the floor..cant hear if motor starts rattling or detonating, with todays mufflers and correct exhaust pipes, horsepower isn't affected by having exhaust... i love my quiet cars with good sounding exhaust, but my brother needs open pipes because it bugs him that he cant hear the motor.... guess it's just preferance now days.. are the motor diapers your speaking of removeable? or would it be tough to put on take off...

Scooter,
I actualy dropped two tenths from open headers to my new Pipes exhaust with and x pipe......MPH was pretty close though....Technology these days is unbelieviable......Just my two cents..

Depends on your access to the bottom end. For me it would be extremely difficult until I replace my crossmember with a removable unit as I have zero clearance (pan rides on the crossmember). If you have the ability to pull your pan, then they are easily removable.

Here is a link to RCI's diaper. (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RCI-7809A&N=700+-87174+115&autoview=sku)

Funny we're talking about mufflers....mine will have them soon. i used to race my nova with mufflers and loved it. it makes for more of an impression too when onlookers see the ET on the window lol

my goal this year is simply have the ability to drive mine to the track. and to work, so i can get all the guys in the shop to drool LOL nothing like havin a 10 second street car (yeah, i know mine is slow greg LMAO)

Bucky Austin signed the lease and Jay Livingston will be managing it.

Reading this info has kinda got me excited, I know this has been brought up before but is there anything us little guys can do to help get the track ready? I am a contractor up there at Northern Quest expansion and I get to look at that snow covered place all the time!! I want to do something!!

what would you want in return? a pass or too? Not saying you would but its implied. many people sooner or later want some recognition for there Free work. dont be surprised if your turned down. if you did some work that say went wrong later, peeled paint, broken pipe, etc, would you be willing to fix the problem? pay for somebody to fix your fuckup? not trying to piss on you. but I hope you see why they would use caution.

That is a good point Mark6052, guess there is no reason to get myself up on the chopping block if its not necessary.

I do not speak for jay or the track. it was just my 2cts. please contact jay and let him know you want to help, as a legit contractor Im sure he would be glad to work with you. and maybe get paid for your efforts. nothing wrong with cutting him a good deal.
