I am thinking of putting on a dyo day some time before the start of the new race season. The date i have in mind is April 25th on saturday starting around 9:00AM. This is the weekend before the estimated start of the season. The pricing will probably be $50.00 for 3 pulls with HP, TQ readings HP only pulls will be $40.00, same as always.

I will probably get a cpl smaller sponsors for awards of some kind simply for biggest HP 4,6,8 cyclinder and maybe biggest TQ as well. If you have any ideas or people that may sponsor some smaller items let me know.

I ll keep you all informed, Thanks

Chassis is back to rolling and outside. We've got the body inside now so can do a little to it before setting it back on. 2 1/2 weeks till the chassis tech so that's all we're really workin toward, right this sec.

Look for a viscous couple elimintaor. That converts the car to FWD.

AWD_Launch
02-03-2009, 05:47 PM
Not 100% sure but I know it can run off a welded center differential and dropping the driveshaft. I snapped the driveshaft part that goes into the rear end and the transfer case part. Driveshafts and transfer cases don't like 20+PSI launches I guess. Anyways, it drove and made it home when I dropped the driveshaft. There is probably more if you want to make it 100% power in FWD but at least it should work.

Hahaha, and see, I'd rather race a 4/5 speed and drive an auto around town. Of course, I did grow up with a family that raced stick cars. Quit considering the auto swap. You did just fine in the street car shoot-out. Plus, it gives ya something to do in the car. Auto's are sooo boring...

If you listen real close, you can hear me shifting in this bye run from a dozen years ago...

http://www.badbug.com/SRP4.wmv

I use the clutch when I shift and it is a "H" pattern. However, I don't lift on the throttle.

I will admit that I too have missed my fair share of shifts, but the rewards of beating someone with an automatic are that much better!

Back in 2001, I won the point series at Bonanza Raceway in Pro 1. It was against mostly V-8 powered automatic vehicles...

http://web.archive.org/web/20020208065720/www.bonanzaraceway.com/standings.html

With enough practice, things properly setup, and a little luck, you can be consistent with a stick....
