Just my .02. Save your money to use on something else. You say the axles you bought are good for 1000hp right? Are you planning on being the next break out Pro Mod star with the wagon and run in the 7s? IMO you do not need to have it done, the axles alone will hold together forever.
I had 35 spline Strange Axles on my last Front Engine Dragster, with an Alky injected monster smallblock, 4.56 gears, powerglide with a brake, and my big set of balls to set over the rear assembly pass after pass after pass and never once did I consider sending them off be cryo'd.
Mr Rear Engine Dragster had twice the motor (Madcap Racing engines 434 inch Small Block that was over 870hp on the dyno), same transmission, same axle size and 4 seasons of 7.90 to 8 flat racing every weekend without breaking anything.
Now if you were talking the stock SRT axles then that would make sense but point I am trying to make is for you to take the $150 for the pair to be frozen and buy a new set of chrome molly piston return springs or a set of dual floor mats, more Nitrous (or a wing for the back of the car... lol)

Well the axles I went with arnt the DSS ones. I went and got a set of 09 R/T axles. from all the info in lxforums ect ect, they seem to be up to par with the 1000HP axles. The stock SRT axles are 25 spline, the new 09 R/T axles are 33 spline. I saw im going with the R/T axles because in 09 the R/T uses the same diff as the 06-08 SRT. 215MM, I had to get different hubs to. No one has track test the 09's yet BUT from the looks of them side by side to mine they are much larger and the spline is way larger. Thats kinda the fill in on insted of spending $2300 for DSS axles I spend $450 for these. Yes I might take a risk of still braking them, but I dont think I will. I was looking into Cryo becasue they are out, not used and I figgered I could use all I can.

Your over thinking this. Just use them til they break. No sense in going completely overboard on something like that.

I think you would be fine. The folks over at KRC are using them on that nitrous injected, Blown 300C SRT running 10.90s and they are not having any issues with the slicks. I would be more worried about the drive shaft or the transmission coming apart.

I also hear that Richmond if finally putting out 3.55 and 3.73 gear sets out next week for the LX cars. 3.73s and a new converter would 60' you like a raped ape (would suck on a long road trip though).

I stand corrected. He had them wazoo $2500 axles... I seen the thread you were looking on the 09 ones and they may be a wise choice. Still do not think they need to be frozen though.
And yes if you do not want any fucking opinions, then don't ask. Go spend all your money on useless shit, then take the Magnum out and have you ass handed to you by 10 second Honda as you blow the car up and have to start over again. Then send me the video. I am sure I will still be driving mine on the freeway. still under warranty with my little 13 second 5.7 HEMI, trans, rear end, and axles still alive, and taking a REAL race car to the strip..
I will have my new Suncoast S/G corvette in 7 weeks, 3 days and the drive time from Oklahoma to Las Vegas. Funny thing is that I prob spent the same amount on a mild motored high 8 to low 9 second car close to what you are spending on the whole build... I plan on making a trip up to Spokane for the divisional event next year to race the car and see my kids so if you want to run me than bring your cash. I will run no nitrous and may even turn the throttle stop on to make it look fair...

I havent had anything cryo treated YET, but I may have a gear pack done. I have been told that there is a local guy doing it now, but I havent had the chance to talk with him yet.
The general theory behind cryo treat makes alot of sense, but it has to be done correctly or the materials can experiance thermal shock and become brittle.
Cryo treat is an extension of heat treatment theory in that the change in grain structure in the metal is directly related to the cooling temperature experienced during treatment (room temperature in a standard heat treatment process). Cryo treatment takes that temperature down to nearly 300degF.
lol...i guess I did pay attention in my materials class.

Yep, you have a solid rear end, I have a IRS. The ONLY company that makes aftermarket with a HP rating is DSS ( Drive Shaft Shop) The are right at $2300 for the 1000HP. Way to much for me. Also Thanks Black, It sounds like a good thing to do.
