Got it down to Brian's on Friday and after some screwing around with the software, we actually got some decent runs.

On Back-2-Back runs w/ ice we made 500/490 and 502/488.

Overall very pleased. After some more reading on the guys that are hitting 500/500 they are running 23/24* timing and I for sure wanna stay in the 20* range as we have it.

Thanks again to Shelley's Automotive and Brian for makin' it happen.

We'll just have to see now how she holds up against Talntid, and the Big mans snake.......

Shit for now. Its WAY over my head, and we decided to just tune for now w/ the handheld. I'll keep reading and someday it'll be valuable. I hope. lol.

Oh yeah. Datalogging and everything is all on the handheld. The handheld just has wider variances, whereas the software you can say,,,,,, add 1* of timing at rpms 3500-4000. Just more finite changes are allowed through the software.

The fact that I havent "driven" it in 4+ months PLUS another 79HP/101TQ.....

It was actually kinda scary, lol. I even think Charlie was scared. He advised me to "leave the slicks on" until I'm done given people rides. lol.

I know it's not my car. Because of that, it's not my place to release the details. :)

I am, however, going to be doing the work to it, along with HPI Performance, and also will be running it at the track (like last year) and have it at the dyno events and such. It lives in my garage until Adrian returns from Iraq...

I'm not trying to be all cocky or an ass. Just relaying the info.. if Adrian wants to let the cat out of the bag, he can. But posting it on here is about the fastest way for information to spread... not many people will know about the setup for a little while.

yep. that's the fastest you can run without a cage. :)

Justin, you will just have to learn to luanch that IRS car, becuase with a little spray, you will be hitting 600 at the wheels or maybe a little more, you might need to get the 4 psi lower pulley and get that thing to make a little more boost. And if that doesnt help i ll drive,lol just kidding. then we will need that 6 point for sure to get you into the mid 10's.

Yes he has a solid.

The rest of what you stated is fixed w/ a few simple mods, along with running a wrinkle wall tire to absorb the shock to the rearend.

Those small fixes will help some but a broken axle is in your near future..

Sure, anyone with a 500hp car knows things are gonna break.

I'm fairly certain however I know more about what I've chosen than anyone here, and there are 10+ cobras I can quickly think of w/ 600+ HP still running the stock original axles w/ over 200+ passes.

Will I be so lucky?? Probably not, but the Wheel-hop problem is very much overrated.

No, no higher for now. I'll get used to this and then go from there. I surely don't want to have to put in higher octane all the time when I go golfing and whatnot. lol.

Very true. With the xcal you could just have two different tunes and just load the tune for higher octane when you want to run it.

Im just happy my motor is running on 92 with the higher compression. Of course im not running really any timing in it right now at all.

How do you like the PRP software? Im thinking about picking it up, but not sure if i am going to have much time to tune with it. May just do some more datalogging and finalize with a mail order.

Never been a big fan of the mystic color. Loved the version on the 03 cobras, but not so much on the 96s. Definitely fun cars though, when mine was fairly stock(headers and exhaust) and stock gears, i would get about 27mpg on the freeway.

Not so good now, but still over 20 if i keep my foot out of the gas.
