Friday nights is going to be a normal schedule events they will make it on the schedule. the spokane county site mentions Fri nights will start May 1st.

We're headed out there today to do a walk through on the work they'll be doing and bid our portion of it. Good improvements from what Ive seen that will be done by opening day. Legally cant go into detail before we have the contract but everything is getting either rebuilt, replaced or a face lift. Looks like for this year they are just rehabing the bathrooms through; Build new ones later on. Big stuff for the circle track too. By 2010-2011 this will be one of the top 2 nicest tracks in the Northwest.

From the pics on the site its very obvious that everything is going to look a lot different. New reader board and timing system, tower is rebuilt, the bathrooms will be addressed I'm sure also. Pretty exciting to see. A good lookin website with info. Its amazing to see really...

ok back from the site and fuck my last post, they are on a hard time frame so they are keeping the existing restrooms and concessions. besides re roofing them, all the mold and junk that has to be blasted off before they can be coated... gross.

The place will still be great when its done and there have been much worse jobs but... gross.

You act as though this was a sure thing the whole time. I made golf course comments because that was the most realistic idea during the last 3 years.

Had the county not expressed interest and the public not showed demand for the track, we would be golfing in 2010 instead of racing. Plain and simple.

Now, because of people in this community, and Spokane Pro Gas for last years amazing events we have been given a place to race. Forget what was said in the past and focus on the future of racing in Spokane.

ditto for both. Its time to move forward. this is going tobe a GREAT improvement for us all. maybe alittle different for awhile, but its time to race!

Yeah, those bathrooms were always disgusting. It's not a cast iron pan... you can't "season" a urinal.

I don't even want to think about the concession place and what horrors might await.

I'm excited to see what happens as things progress. I am very enthusiastic about the new faces running it. :beer:

Oh well i just have denis race the car or something. I just dont think im gunna feel comfortable racing this summer and denis is a really good driver so i would be interested to see what he could do with the ol' neon...
