Think once the white car sells I will just copy this guy... awesome setup and he says its totally streetable. I like the single over the twin, spool still happens pretty fast.

Brian at Shelley's will be doing all the major installation, I trust him with my car. Plus, hes been pushing me for a turbo install for a while. My question for you is do you have a '99+ intake that you would be willing to swap for my entire Supercharger system? Or know anyone who does?

I wish i did, but i know where you could find one. There's a guy working on an adaptor plate that would make it possible to bolt the eaton onto the 96-98 cobra b heads. If that happens, i would be interested in the eaton. Here's two websites that have good for sale sections: svtperformance.com and corral.net/forums/ There is a HP stage II twin turbo kit for sale on svtp right now....here's the link HP kit (http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=309952&highlight=intake)

Actually, don't know why i didn't think of this, but my friend has a 99 cobra. He might very well be interested in a swap of that kind. I think its a little more involved than just swapping parts, but i'll mention it to him.

I might be interested. I have an '04 Mach 1 with only 11600 miles. It's the same engine (4.6 DOHC) minus the supercharger.

Either one of you, just let me know and we can work something out over the winter. PM me and we can work something out. Of course, it would be intake plus a little cash for supercharger, intercooler and all piping etc.

HAHAHAHA This is going to be so much fun. I still think you need to pony up and put on the Ricard intake and throttle body.

I have a 98 SOHC intake manifold

Hey Brian, think we could do the swap side by side, that way we can be sure to get everything eachother needs? Like the alternator sits right in front of the intake as I recall so we will have to swap alternators, and I'm sure a couple other items.

JZCobra, I have the 13 LB pulley on my 'charger. It is also tapped for nitrous injection. If I were you, I would definately swap out your pistons and rods before going nuts on this thing... )

Do you have the stock pulley? I telling my friend to get safe as hell tune on it if he decides to get this. I'm working on a list of stuff that he will need that you aren't getting rid off. So far i think he needs a fuel pump, maybe throttle body if you are keeping yours, injectors which is a given, maybe a new MAF, and then the tune. He's thinking about it. I think he doesn't want to end up sinking 2000 dollars into it. I'll do some more research though.

I wont be using my fuel pump, TB, injectors, MAF are all going away so why not just install the ones on my car currently? I certainly wont charge $2000.

I was planning on racing on saturday, you aren't going by chance are you? Me and my friend will be there so we could discuss this further if you want. I think as long as he can get most of the parts, or most of the expansive and hard to find parts, it won't be too bad. Sounds like he may not have to buy anything extra, just get it tuned afterwards.

Wont be there, I'm over seattle area right now. The basic blocks are the same so all the components he needs will just swap right out. I would seriously look at doing pistons and rods though.... you can't have my rods :) but if you want my pistons you can have them.

Think I will leave the clutch pedal in and use it as the emergency disconnect switch, and leave the shifter to look like the stock T-56 shifter. Lots of decisions left on the auto transmission...

http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.com/

We talked about this one...

http://www.hellionpowersystems.com/

Single turbo system...

We will need pistons, fuel system (return style) and maybe some cams... what do you think?

I've heard nothing, but good things about hellion. I maybe interested in your six speed if its not spoken for. My t45 likes to grind second and third.
If you swapping out pistons, would you maybe consider just swapping engines with my friends 99? I think it would everything easier, then you will also have an aluminum block as well. The only thing my friend is hesitant on is how much this is going to cost him. He's gots some funds to work with, but he's in college so they are limited.

The T-56 is currently available, with the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. As to swapping engines, no freakin' way am I getting rid of most of my stuff, the crank is awesome, rods are awesome, etc. Just the pistons are a bit soft. Your friend's engine should be able to support the supercharger as it is currently, but if you up the boost at all, have a crappy tune, get a bad tank of gas, or use the nitrous, it may not last. He puts some pistons and rods in, he should be fine.

So available is a complete swap of supercharger system and my T-56 with nice clutch, shifter etc. Not available, my engine. :)

lol ok. Just thought it might make things easier, depending on what route you were going to take. How much are you looking to get for the t56? Would you include the flywheel as well?

Greycobra_03
10-01-2006, 04:13 PM
Flywheel would be included, its a Fidanza aluminum flywheel. Lemme do some price shopping and see how much they are going for.

Theres a reman T56 with no flywheel or clutch, I would say mine is worth around $1500.

You would be getting the intercooler, the fuel pumps, idlers etc. so the stuff I am offering is worth more than that auction, but since I get your intake and everything else, what would your friend say to $1000 for everything?

jzcobra
10-01-2006, 04:42 PM
It depends on how much he will have to spend on top of that for various parts, install, tuning, etc

If you go to rpmtransmissions web site they are selling some for 1295. No fly wheel and clutch though, but i can use mine if i want to. Well if i can find a part time job, i'll start saving up and keep in touch. If you sell it before then, no biggy.

PMS will run around $1800
Hellion kit will be around $7000 shipped
4r70w swap will cost close to $4000
Fuel system I am still pricing out
Pistons will be around $600

That should be all the major parts, I should have $13000 from the car, $1000 from the supercharger parts and $1500 from the T-56. So a budget of $15500 to work with.

The thing my friend is concerned with is how we would actually do the swap. You mentioned something about doing them side by side, but you want the shop to do it or what, and how much that would cost.

Greycobra_03
10-02-2006, 07:41 AM
I will be paying Brian of Shelley's Performance to do the swap. We should talk to him about doing the cars side by side. It will be on my dime unless we run into an impossible snag and Brian has to step in.

jzcobra
10-02-2006, 12:11 PM
I guess im still a little confused about how this will work...

Greycobra_03
10-02-2006, 01:47 PM
Eh, we can work it out man... shouldn't be too bad.

Fuel system from Paul's High Performance is $2300 for the complete system. This brings total cost of major parts to $15,700 + labor and all the misc. small stuff that we always end up buying... I may have to wait on the auto swap until I save up some more money... or something.

Greycobra_03
10-04-2006, 09:39 AM
Thanks Boogeyman, he wants too much for the kit, plus the HP kit has inherent oiling issues with the low mounted turbo. I like the single rather than the twins... personal preference.

Brian, havent ordered them yet as I am waiting on my white car to sell. Soon as it sells I will order the kit and everything...
